prayer of encouragement – Margaret Blake

prayer of encouragement

This prayer was given to me today, February 13th, 2020 as I was praying in response to a need specific to those afflicted with the coronavirus. The Lord had been speaking in my spirit for some days now that many of His people are not prepared for the present day battles and those battles yet to come. As the judgements of GOD sweep across the nations, GOD will be merciful toward those who repent and turn to him. As such, GOD is calling us to be prepared for the battles ahead, as well to pray for the needs of others. For there are yet many prodigal children of GOD who are in need of repentance and sinners yet to turn to GOD.

So here my dear brothers and sisters is what the Lord has given me to share with all of you. It is based on scripture and therefore is easily confirmed by all who choose to utilize it. It is a prayer of encouragement and points us to the Lord and the many provisions that GOD has given us; as well as strengthening our understanding of the Lord and His great love for us. GOD desires us to know Him. He is our Father and our GOD. Jesus desires us to know Him. He is our Lord and our Savior and so much more. GOD desires us to become acquainted with the Holy Spirit and walk in faith with the Holy Spirit who leads us unto all righteousness and reveals all truth to us. He does not speak on His own; but only that which the Father and the Son tell Him. GOD desires us to know His Word.

We are called to continue in our intercession for others; for those afflicted by the present bio-engineered weapon virus that is presently plaguing the nations (as well as other outbreak viruses); for the unborn and newly born; the children sex-trafficked; for the lost; confused and weary. The list of those to pray for is endless; you can add your own.

Like the Samaritan man who came to the aid of the man left on the roadside, beaten and robbed, GOD has called us to respond to the need of others. Yes; even in the midst of His judgements, GOD is merciful toward those who repent. But be prepared. Armor up and know the Word of GOD.

David could not battle Goliath in Saul’s armor, nor according to the traditional battle accoutrements. He had to rely upon GOD’s help and provision from his own personal experience and his faith in GOD. Even if you do not have the experience of battle victory at this time; you have the Word of GOD to rely upon and to trust in. If GOD has said it, He will do it. This is our faith in GOD. We believe His Word and employ it. Even as David used his slingshot and the 5 smooth stones; he also spoke out his faith in GOD and called forth Goliath’s defeat; death and beheading. And gave GOD all the glory. Scripture states that David was a man after GOD’s own heart. Here I would like to point out that David used Goliath’s sword to cut off Goliath’s head. GOD will use the works of darkness and the weapons of the enemy to destroy them with. But like David, we have to face the enemy and trust in GOD.
Blessings!

Shalom.

Father GOD… we give you thanks and praise for this timely word from Your throne. We acknowledge that You are merciful and full of compassion. We draw near to You Lord Jesus and sit at Your feet for You are our Redeemer; our Savior; our Teacher; our Refuge; our Fortress; our GOD in whom we trust. When we look to You Lord, we see our dear Father GOD at Whose right side You are seated. Our spirits cry out ABBA! ABBA! for we are Your children Father. You have given us the life of Your Son; our Lord and our King Jesus. And You have blessed us so that we are able to overcome every trial and tribulation we face here on earth. You anoint us with Your oil of Joy; Your Word says that the joy of the Lord is our strength. You give us beauty for ashes, and a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness; and You inhabit our praise and worship of You Father and charge the atmosphere around us with Your presence and holiness, driving away all oppressive and evil spirits. You surround us with Your light encapsulating us in Heaven’s glory and protection and cleanse us of all sin by the shed blood of Your Son Jesus. We do not fear, because you have not given us a spirit of fear; but have given us the Holy Spirit; Your power; Your love and sound minds. We are not confused; nor do we doubt; nor are we double-minded. You help our unbelief; and like the father of the demon possessed lad, we cry out… “Lord we believe! Help our unbelief!” We take every thought captive to Your obedience Lord and do not lean unto our own understanding; but in all things we acknowledge You and You direct our steps. For Your Word says the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.

We are ever grateful to belong to You; knowing that You watch over us Father and hold us in the palm of Your hand; for we are the apple of Your eye and no one can take us from Your hand. You have made us in Your image and likeness and have given us Your name CHRISTian. How wonderful it is to pray Your Word Father. The Spirit of life is in every letter and even as I write this prayer to You I speak with a heart filled with hope and joy. Your Words rise up like waves of love from a place deep within my spirit. This has become a love letter to You my GOD and I worship You with all my being; and share this joy with all my sisters and brothers in Christ. You anoint our heads with oil and our cups overflow; for You have given us Your life and life in abundance. Your goodness and mercy are with us and follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell forever in Your house.

Lord Jesus, You are our dwelling place; the secret place of the Most High in whom we dwell; seated at Your right hand Father while You make our enemies into Jesus’s footstool; for Heaven is Your throne Lord and earth is Your footstool. We bring captive to You every thought and enemy that rises up against us here on earth and ask You Father to put them into Jesus’s footstool. We come in praise; in worship and in prayer.

We stand also in the gap for others in need of our intercessory prayers. For our loved ones; families; friends; neighbors; communities; co-workers and workplaces; for the church; the Body of Christ; the prodigal children; for the leaders of our nations and our nations; for the wounded; the fearful; the afflicted; the stolen; the abused; the perverse and profane; the confused; the rebellious; the angry; the lonely; the vulnerable; the babies; the children; for the lost in the world; for our enemies; etc…

We stand our ground with the full armor of GOD on and lift up the Shield of Faith by which are able to quench every fiery dart of the enemy because we believe, trust and rely upon Your Word. Therefore, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Your Word, we are diligent in the study of Your Word and commit it to memory; and put it into our hearts. We are faithful to listen to Your Word and to discourse with one another about Your Word. For this is how we walk in agreement with one another; according to Your Word. We wield the Sword of the Spirit which is Your Word that You have put into our mouths and which shall not depart from our mouths; nor from the mouths of our children; nor from the mouths of our children’s children, from hence forth and forever. We wield the Sword of the Spirit by speaking Your Word; praying; Your Word; proclaiming, declaring and prophecying Your Word. Your Word shall not return to us unfulfilled for You watch over Your Word ensuring that it returns to us fulfilled the desire and purpose for which we have spoken it and prayed it. Your Word is life and healing to all our flesh and provides for our every need.

Though we are in this world; yet we are not of it; for You keep us safe from the evil one and the evil in the world. Though our enemy rise up against us one way; yet is defeated before us and flees in seven directions. Should our enemies assemble and gather against us; You make them destroy one another and You give to us the booty of the battle. We have Your victory Lord over all the enemy; for greater are You who is in us, than he who is in the world. You are the light unto our paths and the lamp unto our feet; and You are our rearguard; whispering into our ears, this is the way, walk in it. For always life and death are set before us; but You direct us to choose life for ourselves and our households.

Though we are afflicted, yet You deliver us from all our afflictions and we can do all things through You Lord Jesus because You strengthen us. You have made a way for us where there seems to be no way. You give us beauty for ashes; and turn our sorrow into joy. You cup our chins Father with Your loving hands and give us Your blessing and clothe us in robes of righteousness and wipe away all our tears. We do not grow weary of doing good; for we cling to You Lord and wait upon You, and our strength is renewed. We mount up on wings as eagles and are able to run and not grow weary; and walk and not grow faint. When we pass through the fires we will not be burned; nor will the waters overwhelm us; for You Lord are with us in every fiery trial and churning waters.

Indeed, we keep our eyes and minds fixed on You Lord and reap the blessing of Your Peace and Light which floods our being. We are children of the Light and walk in the Light as You Father GOD are in the Light. And in this holy and awesome place of Light in You Lord; we have fellowship with one another and Your blood cleanses us from all sin. For even as Paul cried out, “Who will save me from this wretched body of sin? For the thing I would not do, I do; and the thing I would do; I do not! I know! The one Jesus Christ, He is able to cleanse me of all my sin and deliver me from this body of death!” (paraphrased scripture).

Can we not be but thankful and humbled that such love and generosity has been given to us, that the Son of GOD, Himself came to earth for the express purpose of saving us from the hand of the enemy too strong for us and to destroy the works of the devil; namely Satan. I stand at the foot of Your cross Lord; nay I sit with You at the table where You shared Your last meal with Your disciples. I listen and watch. I learn. I partake of the bread and wine You shared with Your disciples and I too lean upon Your breast. And like John; I claim I am Your disciple whom You love. I follow along when You go out to the Garden of Gethsemane and like Your disciples I try to stay awake and watch and pray. [Forgive us for failing in this Lord; but strengthen us now so that we who are on earth in this time do stay awake; and watch and pray. Though the times are different; yet the enemy is all around; the days are treacherous and the stench of the enemy and works of darkness increase daily; and the signs You gave us to watch for, herald that the time of Your return is nigh upon us. Keep us watchful Lord. And prepared.] They have come and taken You Lord and I try to follow; they mock and beat You; they choose an evil one over You and You are led away to carry the burden of that cross and crushing weight of the sins of the whole world throughout all time. At the foot of Your cross I stand with those who endured to walk with You to the end. Your suffering is unfathomable; Your anguish palpable. “Woman, behold your son; John, behold your mother.” You spoke these words to draw us into family unity with one another as believers. Even in Your great suffering Your love reached out to the thief on the cross who in the final moments of his life, stood up for You and confessed his sin and just punishment; Yet You made a way for him into Paradise with You. What joy for him! You suffered our separation from Your Father because of our sin and iniquity; and You cried out in despair, “Father! Father! Why have You forsaken Me?” And with Your last breath You committed Your Spirit into Your Father’s hands and bowed Your head and died. Like a sacrificial lamb, the blood and water from Your body poured out onto the earth when they pierced Your side with the spear. Truly You are the Lamb of GOD who took away the sins of the world. The skies darkened while You hung on that cross and when You died, the earth shook; the graves opened and the dead walked upon the earth. The wind roared and the temple curtains were torn from top to bottom by unseen hands.

I cannot see You Father, but in these events I see a glimpse of Your anguish for Your Beloved Son; Your love for Jesus and for us; Your power; Your might; Your judgements; Your fury and Your wrath. Your love for Your Son and what He had to endure and suffer for us is beyond our measure. ButnYour love Father and what You must have suffered to have had to sacrifice Your Beloved Son for us, I do not have the words to express my thoughts and feelings about. I believe. And I am sorry for all my sins and the sins of all others. I am sorry for the evil we have done in our commission of sin and in our omission of sin by not doing what we ought to have done and / or said. I am sorry for the corruption and perversion of Your creation. I am sorry for our disobedience to You. And I am sorry for all those who have and who will reject Jesus.

Father… forgive us and give us clean hearts and minds and set our feet firmly upon the path of righteousness; the straight and narrow path that leads to eternal life and Heaven’s gate. Bless us Father in Jesus to livenin His Resurrected life. And keep us Father. Make Your face shine upon us; lift Your countenance upon us and give us Your peace. Bless us to bear the fruit of Jesus’s life; His peace, love and joy; kindness; gentleness; tenderness; longsuffering (patience); faithfulness and self-control. Andnbless us with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit; the gifts of faith; prophecy; discernment of spirits; word of knowledge; word of wisdom; speaking in tongues; interpretation of tongues; workings of miracles and the gift of the workings of healings.

We prepare for battle. Train our hands for war and our fingers for battle. We set our faces like flint. Thank You for Your angels who guard and protect us and who are greater than those who are against us.Your angels go with us wherever we go and they encamp about us creating a hedge of protection impenetrable by the enemy. Your name is our banner cry; Jehovah Nissi! No weapon formed against us will prosper; and every tongue that rises against us in judgement we refute; for this is our inheritance as Your children Father in Christ and as Your servants Lord; and our righteousness and vindication come from You. Because You have blessed us Father in Jesus; we cannot be cursed. So there is no divination nor enchantment against our lives that has any power over us. You keep us from temptation and deliver us from all evil. And we overcome Satan and all the powers of darkness by Your blood Lord Jesus; the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. You are our testimony Lord Jesus; You are our Savior and our Redeemer; You are the Greater One in us. You have given us dominion on earth; Your name and the authority of Your name. And You have given us power over all the enemy. We are not afraid; we do not fret nor worry. We do not fear the terror of the night; nor the arrow that flies by day; nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness; nor the destruction that lays waste at noonday. Though a thousand fall at our one side; and ten thousand and our other, yet it shall not come nigh us; we will only look with our eyes and see the reward of the wicked. Because we have believed in You Lord and have made You our refuge; no evil shall befall us; nor shall any plague come night our dwelling. For You deliver us from every snare of the fowler and noisome pestilence. You cover us with Your pinions and under Your wings we have refuge. Your faithfulness is a shield and buckler to us.

We seek first the kingdom of GOD and His righteousness and all things needful for our lives is given us. We commit all things unto You Lord; we resist the devil and all the evil that comes against us by the authority we have in Your name and by Your blood that covers us and all that pertains to our lives.

The enemy flees from us in terror; they tremble and quake wherever we are because You Lord Jesus are the Greater One in us; greater than all the powers of darkness against us. Indeed; in Your name Jesus we lay hands upon the sick and they recover; we cast out demons and raise the dead. The blind receive their sight; the deaf their hearing; the mute their speech. The crippled and maimed are made whole; and the lame walk. The insane receive sound minds; the captives are set free; the prey of the terrible are delivered, for You contend with those who contend against us and You save us and our children and our children’s children (forever). Those who mourn are comforted; the lost are found; the lonely befriended; the hungry fed; the naked clothed and the homeless sheltered. And You Father GOD are glorified in our lives because Jesus is lifted up before all mankind by of us who belong to You because we belong to Jesus and trust in Him.

Thank You Father for this prayer and for being with us as we face each day in this world with its mounting uncertainties and ever increasing works of darkness. But we are not afraid. We trust in You. We give You thanks and praise and have the blessing of Your Word and the Holy Spirit as our guide and comforter.

In the name of Jesus. Amen and amen.
