And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Ecclesiastics 12:12
5 Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. 2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 1 Thess. 5
“This is the generation that will witness my return. For everything that has been written down concerning the events that lead-up to my return, will unfold. Many have speculated and have tried to figure these things out, and yet their studies and inquiries, have left them still questioning.
For speculation will never allow one to arrive at the right answer, and much study can weary the soul. One should be well aware that the signs are quite evident. For the turmoil and the chaos all around you, should be plain for all to see.
I have also said that knowledge would increase, and one would see these things playing out in front of you. For the knowledge of man is ever-increasing, and yet he still does not have a knowledge of Me. For those great technical skills that he has will never save him. For where is wisdom to be found? Where would one find out about the times and seasons that we are now living in? Would one lock themselves up in a monastery for years, devoting themselves to prayer and contemplation? Surely, one would arrive at the right answers there.
But go ahead, study your books. I’m sure that you’ll find the right answers to your questions. You’ll be able to find these things out on your own. No, I tell you, the world is racing forwards at a very rapid rate, and the things that you thought you were so certain of yesterday, are now becoming obsolete today.
But seek Me first above all things. Put aside every hindrance that may weigh you down. Run the race that is before you, and I will bring you through the finish line.”
