Read The Psalms Daily! – Cryptic1

Read The Psalms Daily!

Because of a recent word and further confirmations, I believe the Lord is STRONGLY telling His children to START READING THE PSALMS.

On 2.6.20 in my spirit I heard ‘PSALMS’. I figured the Holy Spirit wanted me to read the Psalms…but which one? So I asked the Holy Spirit and was given Psalms 33, 54, 99 and 91. But I knew there must be more to it. So I went over to this site (444ProphecyNews) and in the search box googled ‘Psalms’. There, surprisingly, I found an article titled ‘Where to Get Help in the Book of Psalms’ (11.25.18). It featured different psalms to pray – for whatever situation you were going through.

This is a sampling:

‘When you feel Afraid’ (Psalms 3;4;27;46;49;56;91,118),
‘When you feel Sad’ (Psalm 13), ‘When you’re facing Persecution’ (Psalms 1;3;7;56), ‘When you’re facing Danger’ (Psalm 11), ‘When you want Answers’ (Psalms 4;17), ‘When you want Protection’ (Psalms 3;4;7;16;17;18;23;27;31;91;121;125) and more.

As time went on I got more confirmations regarding Reading/Praying the Psalms.

I was watching a You Tube by God’s Handmaiden’s titled ‘Others Have Gone Before You’ (2.15.20). On this video, the messenger Sister Mary, was led to pray Psalm 64 because as she states, the Lord told her “IT IS IMPORTANT TO BE READING A PSALM A DAY”.

Lois Vogel Sharp of ‘King of Glory Ministries’ put out a video titled ‘Stay Away From The Fog’ (2.18.20). In this video, the prophetess commented and read Psalm 24, pointing out – “this is a very powerful psalm – it’s about the second coming of Jesus and it’s the only time in the bible he’s called the King of Glory.”

Today I was at work on my break listening to Stan Johnson from ‘The Prophecy Club’. In his video titled ‘Protection and Hope in Trouble’ (2.19.20), Stan shared a story about a missionary in China who stood before a firing squad. As bullets were being fired at her, this witness started quoting Psalm 23. None of the bullets fired hit her. Stan then went on to share about the powerful prayer we know as Psalm 91.

I believe God is telling us to pray the Psalms because not only are they prayers of praise and adoration to Him but they are also powerful spiritual warfare prayers, which are much needed in the time we are in. In his book ‘Prayers that Rout Demons’, author John Eckhardt includes spiritual warfare prayers, many taken from the Psalms. Below you will find some of these prayers (modified).

Lord, teach my hands to war and my fingers to fight (Psalm 144:1). Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.
Lord, thunder upon the enemy; release Your voice; hail stones and coals of fire (Psalm 18:13). The LORD thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered His voice, hailstones and coals of fire.
Send out Your arrows, and scatter them. Shoot out Your light and discomfit them (Psalm 18:14). He sent out His arrows and scattered the foe, lightnings in abundance, and He vanquished them.

Deliver me from my strong enemy, from them that are too strong for me (Psalm 18:17). He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.

I am Your anointed, and You give me great deliverance (Psalm 18:50). Great deliverance He gives to His king, And shows mercy to His anointed, to David and his descendants forevermore.
I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them. I did not turn until they were consumed (Psalm 18:37). I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed.

I have wounded them, and they are not able to rise. They have fallen under my feet (Psalm 18:38). I have wounded them, so that they could not rise; they have fallen under my feet.

I tread upon the lion and adder. The young lion and dragon I trample underfoot (Psalm 91:13). You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
Guide me by the skilfulness of Your hands (Psalm 78:72). So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

Lead me in a plain path because of my enemies (Psalm 27:11). Teach me Your way, O LORD, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
Lead me, and make Your way straight before my eyes (Psalm 5:8). Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before my face.

Send out Your light and truth, and let them lead me (Psalm 43:3). Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle.

Teach me to do your will, and lead me into the land of uprightness (Psalm 143:10). Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

Psalms and Proverbs teach us who God is. His character, attributes and who we are IN Him. And. How He wants us to live. Especially good for baby believers needing growth and understanding. The bible is a meeting place with God. xo Go there. OFTEN!!!

  3. Also…the Lord led me to a few musical folk groups who have recorded the Psalms set to music. I switched to them on CDs for my car and home. Now I notice all day long when working and away from the music, I am still humming actual Psalms as I go about my day. You are right on…but music does help some of us memorize.

    Psalm 150 (KJV)
    1. Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

Oh, Praise the Lord, He is good, He is merciful, His mercy endures forever!.
