PROPHETIC MESSAGE: Passover, Communion & Today – Elizabeth Marie

“Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.”1 Corinthians 5:7

This week I was reflecting on Passover, and what it means believers today. I felt a move in my spirit, that the HOLY SPIRIT was trying to show me something important….so I started reading the Scriptures, and asked for further revelation.

The LORD led me to Isaiah 53, which is such a PERFECT and INCREDIBLE DESCRIPTION of JESUS, the SACRIFICIAL LAMB! It is so beautiful to see how the OLD TESTAMENT foreshadows of the coming of JESUS!

I also saw the similarities between COMMUNION and the PASSOVER. I then received a message from the LORD, which is at the end of this article.

FORESHADOW:

The story of the Passover is a FORESHADOW of what is coming in the last days. Many of the plagues will once again be re-visited on the Egyptians (the world). We can see this in the Book of Revelation that there will be:

• Waters turning to blood

• Days of Darkness

• Hail

• Frogs

• Boils

• Locust

JUDGMENT:

The PLAGUES of MOSES were JUDGMENTS that fell on the Egyptians because of their wicked Pharaoh, and his disobedience to the LORD’s commands. Nine plagues fell, but Pharaoh’s heart was still harden. It wasn’t until the 10th plague, of the Firstborn males dying, did the Pharaoh finally let go of his stubborn ways.

This reminds me much of America today. We are already seeing judgments falling, but there is still little repentance, and a hardening of hearts. Each JUDGMENT will become more and more severe, unless there is true repentance. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

PASSOVER & COMMUNION:

PASSOVER is also about repentance….for the Israelite’s had to remove all the leaven food in their homes BEFORE they were to celebrate the feast. Leaven bread stands for sin in our lives. [Unleavened Bread]

Likewise, we as believers in CHRIST, need to examine ourselves and confess our sins BEFORE we take Communion.

Communion and Passover are intertwined, as we know that our LORD JESUS took the Passover Supper with HIS disciples. It is there that HE set the pattern, and model for Communion for HIS followers.

When we take Communion, we are not only proclaiming the death of CHRIST, but we are celebrating that HE is the PASSOVER LAMB that takes away our sins.

THE DESTROYER:

The Passover account includes how the Israelites put blood of the LAMB on the doorposts. This was so that the DESTROYER would ‘pass-over’ their homes and not bring death. (Exodus 12:23)

In the LAST DAYS, we see APOLLYON, (Revelation 9:11), whose name means DESTROYER, (Apollyon) comes out of the bottomless pit, as KING of the LOCUST, to torture those who do not have GOD’s seal on their foreheads.

We are definitely seeing the signs of the spirit of destruction coming upon the world in many forms.

The BLOOD

It says in Hebrews 9:22 that without the shedding of the blood there is NO remittance

This was another foreshadow of JESUS’s becoming that LAMB that was sacrificed. When applying HIS BLOOD, by FAITH in HIS sacrifice, we are spared from the SECOND DEATH and also from the DESTROYER.

As believers, we must learn how to APPROPRIATE the BLOOD OF JESUS!

SET FREE:

Right after the ‘Passover’ happened in Egypt, the Israelites were SET FREE from Egyptian captivity, and almost immediately started their journey to the PROMISED LAND.

For believers today, we are also SET FREE, once we repent, and accept what JESUS did for us on the cross. This starts our journey to the KINGDOM of GOD, and to being invited to the LAMBS SUPPER.

THE WILDERNESS:

Once the Israelites’ journey started, it lasted for 40 years in the wilderness until some were allowed to enter the PROMISED LAND OF MILK AND HONEY. This WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE was their time of learning, testing and refining before the LORD.

We also, as followers of CHRIST, are in the ‘WILDERNESS OF LIFE’ here on earth. It is ALSO a place of learning, testing and refining before HE comes back! The LORD calls us to be faithful, not look back to Egypt (the world), and to march forward in becoming OVERCOMERS!

After our time of testing here on this earth, we hope to hear JESUS’s voice saying to us:

“WELL DONE, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord” Matthew 25:21

MESSAGE:

While preparing for this article, I received this message:

“I AM the PASSOVER LAMB

I have been sacrificed…..yet LIVE!

Take MY BLOOD and apply it to the DOORPOSTS of ….

• your body

• your spirit

• your life

When MY BLOOD is applied correctly, the destroyer has to pass-over you!

Life is in the Blood…

Spiritual life is found in MY BLOOD…

Without the shedding of the blood there is no remission for sin

During the days of Passover, it took a unblemished lamb to take away their sins. When I came, I became the LAST sacrificial LAMB – for I took away your sins now and permanently!

It was a one time sacrifice. I bled and hung on the cross to wash away your sins….once for all. (Hebrews 9:12) It was to bring you into a relationship with MY FATHER.

This is the true story of Passover:

Deliverance from sin

Deliverance from bondage

Deliverance from captivity

The destroyer comes to kill, steal and take from you. I have come so that you might have life abundantly!

Satan no long has a grip on you, if you believe and accept MY sacrifice on the cross!

You have been set free!

You are a new creation!

Your are born again into MY KINGDOM….

REJOICE!!”
