Darkness Is Coming-Repent While It Is Today

This is two-part word the Lord put on my heart today. Please seek Jesus.

With this, the Lord Jesus continues to emphasize three phrases He spoke to me.
• Watch Damascus (received in 2006)
• After March-after June (January, 2018)
• If he rides into Jerusalem on a white horse, they will follow him (given right after Donald Trump’s election)

I’m not saying I understand these phrases, but Jesus gives me the sense we are watching them unfold.

Here’s what I heard Jesus telling me today.
Write this down. Woe to you who say, ‘great prosperity will save me on that day.’ Woe to you who say, ‘the trouble will not touch me.’ For I say to you, darkness and not light is coming. Repent while it is today. Do you think I send this time for your enemies? I send it to you first. Why do you love the things of the world? Do you think your gold and silver will save you on that day? Do you think the trees will hide you? Will your storehouse be enough? Will you run? Destruction comes quickly.
Woe to you who say, ‘we will rebuild on the ruins’
Woe to you who say, ‘it will not come.’
Behold, it is coming soon. A day that will surprise you. A day when many will flee. Your idols will fall to the ground. Rubble, rubble. Your cities lie waste to be no more. Woe to you who say peace and safety, for I say sudden destruction comes.
Pride, pride. Boast, boast. Yet, who is boasting in Me?

16 Therefore thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord:
“In all the squares there shall be wailing,
and in all the streets they shall say, ‘Alas! Alas!’
They shall call the farmers to mourning
and to wailing those who are skilled in lamentation,
17 and in all vineyards there shall be wailing,
for I will pass through your midst,”
says the LORD.
18 Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD!
Why would you have the day of the LORD?
It is darkness, and not light,
19 as if a man fled from a lion,
and a bear met him,
or went into the house and leaned his hand against the wall,
and a serpent bit him.
20 Is not the day of the LORD darkness, and not light,
and gloom with no brightness in it?
21 “I hate, I despise your feasts,
and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies.
22 Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them;
and the peace offerings of your fattened animals,
I will not look upon them.
23 Take away from me the noise of your songs;
to the melody of your harps I will not listen.
24 But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream

The second part came with a reminder of something Jesus used to show my mom. She would say, ‘every Sunday morning Jesus leans His ear to listen for His name proclaimed and then He says, ‘no, not today.’
Here’s what I heard.

Names, names, books, books. The pile reaches the heavens but none are Mine. Awake, awake! You have fallen asleep from these things that do not refresh you. They do not bring life. You are deceived. Why don’t you listen to Me? Have I not promised to be with you? Have I not promised to be your teacher? How you love to have your ear tickled. How you love to be fed that which is spoiled. Seek Me. Seek spiritual milk. Seek spiritual meat. Seek that which will feed you and strengthen you. I stand with My hand outstretched but you refuse me to turn to an image of another. Faces, faces. Lights, lights. But these are not the true light. I am the Light. I will show you the way.

Besides being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging many proverbs with great care. 10 The Preacher sought to find words of delight, and uprightly he wrote words of truth.
11 The words of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings; they are given by one Shepherd. 12 My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:9-14)

Another vision the Lord has given me lately is that of the faithful, underground church in North Korea…tortured and imprisoned, alongside the prosperity gospel/shamanism of much of South Korea. Yes, there are faithful in South Korea, too. I’m simply writing the image the Lord has given me. The Lord said He is crashing those two things together.
I don’t believe that is just for Korea, but for all of us to humbly repent and seek Jesus today.
Jesus is our comfort, our help, our strength, our joy. Do not fear little flock. Listen to Jesus and do what He tells you. He loves you. Trust Him. He is Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
He will not fail to complete that which He has begun in you. (and me)
