BRIDE OF CHRIST: How to ABIDE in HIS Secret Place/ Daily Protection Prayer – Elizabeth Marie

“For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His PAVILION;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.” Psalms 27:5

It was very high up, over looking, what seemed like, the top of the world. This off-white, large ‘tent’ looked like a CANOPY that had a flat roof and was open on all four sides.

I was shown, that this represents the SECRET PLACE where the LORD JESUS wants to meet with us. It is where we can SAFELY ABIDE in HIS PRESENCE.

Notice the CONDITION in Psalms 91:1, that if we want to ABIDE under the LORD’s SHADOW, that we first much DWELL with HIM in the SECRET PLACE!

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High ​​Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms 91:1

I like how the NLT puts it:

“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms 91:1

JESUS actually tells us to pray to our FATHER in that SECRET PLACE:

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” Mattew 6:6”

It is there that we meet with JESUS, through prayer, and tell HIM what is on our hearts and minds. This is the kind of RELATIONSHIP that is needed to get to know the LORD…..if we are to GROW and MATURE in our knowledge and love for HIM. This means no RELIGIOUS undertones, but a humbling of oneself, laid bare through honesty, sincerity and wisdom.

“And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.” Matthew 6:7

JESUS even gives a MODEL to HIS disciples on HOW TO PRAY, through the LORD’s PRAYER in Matthew 6:8-15. In this prayer we see the ‘model’ of thanksgiving; repentance; asking for our basic needs; help from trials and temptations, as well as spiritual protection.

MESSAGE: (9/17/26)

Now, every time I spend time with the LORD, I can envision this SECRET PLACE with HIM. It is then that I have been receiving quite a few messages lately…..here is one of them:

“Stay on the ROCK….the ROCK ETERNAL! (Isaiah 26:4)

Stay STEADFAST!

This is where your HELP comes from…..in the SHADOW MY PRESENCE!

For under MY SHADOW, there is LIFE, HEALTH, PEACE, RESTORATION and REVIVAL!

It is in the SECRET PLACE where the enemy cannot reach you…though he may try! But he will be thwarted, re-routed and stopped! For he cannot occupy the PLACE OF LIGHT….for MY LIGHT burns his darkness away!

See how important it is to ABIDE under the SHELTER OF MY WINGS?

To venture away means your ‘COVERING’ is off, and you are ‘UNPROTECTED’ from the attacks of the wicked ones.

STAYING HIDDEN is not isolation, but PROTECTION!

For those who ask, I will teach them how to ABIDE UNDER MY COVERING! I will lead them to that SWEET PLACE where their souls will be refreshed, regardless of what is going on all around them.” END OF MESSAGE

“You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence
From the plots of man;
You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion
From the strife of tongues” Psalms 31:20

“And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.” Isaiah 4:6

A DAILY PRAYER FOR PROTECTION:

Dear HEAVENLY FATHER, LORD JESUS, AND HOLY SPIRIT,

I come to you today, in the SECRET PLACE, humbling myself before you, in obedience.

I offer myself up to YOU as a LIVING SACRIFICE(Romans 12:1) upon YOUR throne of GRACE— confessing my sins, and applying the BLOOD OF JESUS which wipes them away.

As an eagle spreads out her wings and carries her young, I ask that YOU would please carry me, lead, and guide me as I start my day. (Deut. 32:11-12)

I come asking to be HIDDEN under the SHADOW OF YOUR WINGS for REFUGE from all the strife, trials, attacks and calamities that surround me and my loved ones.

Set me HIGH UPON THE ROCK, and be MY FORTRESS, DELIVERER, STRONGHOLD…..for YOU are MY GOD in whom I trust! (Psalms 18:2; Psalms 91:2)

Help me to ABIDE in your PRESENCE today, through the help and POWER of our comforter, the HOLY SPIRIT…..no matter what comes my way!

I now dedicate this day to YOU, and ask that YOU would OPEN my ears and eyes so that I can clearly HEAR YOUR VOICE and have GODLY WISDOM and DISCERNMENT in all things!

Thank you, JESUS, for YOUR LOVE, FAITHFULNESS, LONG SUFFERE ING, and PATIENCE towards me!

I LOVE YOU, PRAISE YOU, AND WORSHIP YOU NOW IN THE PRESENCE OF YOUR HOLINESS!
