WHERE’S THE BEEF?

On 7/11/2022 the Lord gave me the following vision: I saw a man run up to a woman, grab a shoe off her foot, and run off with it. Then in another vision (date unknown), I saw 2 men open a woman’s refrigerator and peruse its contents after she left the room. End of visions.

Back in May, I was forcibly evicted from my rental property. The sheriff said that if I did not immediately vacate the property, he would arrest me. So, under threat of arrest, I grabbed my most important possessions – my Bible, my God journals, and my cat, and I drove away as the landlord changed the locks on my property so I could not re-enter. All my worldly possessions were then locked inside and inaccessible to me.

A few weeks later, I contacted my landlord to say that I had secured a moving company to move all my possessions out of the rental house. He wrote back that if I wanted access to my possessions, then I would have to pay him $6399.79 as a judgment. Now at the trial, the judge had awarded my landlord a judgment of $2989.75.

So basically, the landlord was holding all my possessions hostage in order to bleed me for more money! He was trying to coerce and threaten me into giving him an additional $3400!

Now in my book that is called extortion – using threats, intimidation, or pressure from one’s authority to force someone to hand over money.

Not only that, but he wasn’t just stealing from me, but from God. You see everything I had stored in that rental house was not just earmarked for me, but for God’s purposes like my desktop PC, which I used to write my testimonies.

As I was contemplating my situation, I remembered how the Amalekites stole King David’s 2 wives and all his possessions from him. That was exactly what I was experiencing since all my worldly goods were being held hostage inside the owner’s house and I was being extorted into giving him money to get them back.

I remembered how God told David to pursue the enemy and that he would surely recover all (1 SA 30:8). Suddenly something rose up in me to PROCLAIM MY VICTORY in this situation.

I decreed that the enemy had no right to any of my possessions since they really belonged to God. The earth is the Lord’s and fullness thereof (1 Co10:26.) And just who were these filthy dogs to defy the Living God and steal from a child of the Most High (1 SA 17)? I decreed fierce restitution and recompense and that all that the enemy had stolen from me would be restored seven-fold (Proverbs 6:31). I declared that the enemy must LET MY POSSESSIONS GO in Jesus name (Ex 8:20).

Now when Dave had sent me threatening emails in the past, I usually responded right away. But this time, I strongly felt that I needed to just wait. So, I let a full day go by without responding to Dave’s extortion request.

When I finally responded, I said that the court-ordered judgment amount of $2989.75 was all that I would pay. That is when the miracle occurred – he recapitulated and agreed to the court-ordered amount!

By exercising the ‘fruit of the spirit’ of SELF-CONTROL and not responding in haste, it gave GOD the time and space to move on my behalf. And He did!

Before I go, I want to share a rather amusing little morsel on this same topic. While I was living in a motel for 2 weeks after my eviction, I was forced to radically change my diet since I had no access to a stove or freezer. By necessity my diet became overloaded with carbohydrates with very little protein or veggies.

So, when I was finally allowed back into my rental house, I pretty much made a beeline to my refrigerator. You see, I had been dreaming about my angus pot roast and those multiple packages of organic grass-fed hamburger meat in the freezer. My first order of business was to make myself a hamburger.

So, you can imagine my shock and dismay when I opened my freezer, and all my beef was gone! I was like that octogenarian woman, Clara, in the old Wendy’s commercial that said, “Where’s the beef?”. Where indeed?

When it finally dawned on me that someone had stolen the beef out of my freezer, I suddenly flashed back to the vision the Lord gave about the 2 men who checked out my refrigerator when I left the room. So that meant 2 of the many intruders who invaded my house on eviction day stole my meat. Was it the landlord? Or maybe the cops? Or perhaps the locksmiths? I do not know. My only clue is that my thieves apparently had a proclivity for beef since my chicken and turkey remained untouched.

Can you imagine what my thieves will say when they stand before the judgment seat of Christ? Perhaps it will go something like this: “Well, we threw a 60-year-old woman with no place to go out on the street. When she refused to go, we threatened her with arrest. Then we changed the locks on her doors, so she couldn’t get back in. When she asked for her stuff back, we held all her stuff hostage and tried to squeeze more money from her. Oh yeah, we stole her food from her too.”

I wonder what Jesus would say to all that? Wait, we already know. It’s what He said to the goats in the Parable of the Sheep and Goats. I took the liberty of highlighting Jesus’ message to the goats in the scripture below.

You know, all this kind of reminds me of Esau choosing a bowl of soup over his inheritance. I sure do hope that pot roast was worth it.

SCRIPTURES

JOHN 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.

PROVERBS 6:30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steals to satisfy his soul when he is hungry; 31 But if he is found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give up all the goods of his house.

ISAIAH 10:2 1Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write misfortune which they have prescribed; 2To turn aside the needy from justice, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless! 3And what will you do in the day of punishment, and in the desolation which shall come from afar? to whom will you flee for help? and where will you leave your riches? 4Without me they shall bow down among the prisoners, and they shall fall among the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

ZECHARIAH 7:10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the sojourner, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

ISAIAH 59:6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. 7Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. 8The way of peace they know not; and there is no justice in their paths: they have made themselves crooked paths: whosoever goes in them shall not know peace.

PROVERB 6:16 These six things does the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18A heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that are swift in running to evil,
19A false witness that speaks lies, and he that sows discord among brethren.

PSALM 50:16 But unto the wicked God says, What have you to do to declare my statutes, or that you should take my covenant in your mouth? 17Seeing you hate instruction, and cast my words behind you. 18When you saw a thief, then you consented with him, and have been partaker with adulterers. 19you give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit. 20You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son. 21These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such a one as yourself: but I will rebuke you, and set them in order before your eyes.

1 SAMUEL 30:8 And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for you shall surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

GALATIANS 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, self-control: against such there is no law. 24And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may be recompensed for the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether it be good or bad.

MATTHEW 25:31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: 33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35For I was hungry, and you gave me food: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: 36Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came unto me.
37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we you hungry, and fed you? or thirsty, and gave you drink? 38When saw we you a stranger, and took you in? or naked, and clothed you? 39Or when saw we you sick, or in prison, and came unto you? 40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Since you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.
41THEN SHALL HE SAY ALSO UNTO THEM ON THE LEFT HAND, DEPART FROM ME, YOU CURSED, INTO EVERLASTING FIRE, PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS: 42FOR I WAS HUNGRY, AND YOU GAVE ME NO FOOD: I WAS THIRSTY, AND YOU GAVE ME NO DRINK: 43I WAS A STRANGER, AND YOU TOOK ME NOT IN: NAKED, AND YOU CLOTHED ME NOT: SICK, AND IN PRISON, AND YOU VISITED ME NOT.
44then shall they also answer him, saying, lord, when saw we you hungry, or thirsty or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto you? 45then shall he answer them, saying, VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, SINCE YOU DID IT NOT TO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE, YOU DID IT NOT TO ME. 46AND THESE SHALL GO AWAY INTO EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT: but the righteous into life eternal.
