Waiting for the Storm

Greetings,
This is a poem I wrote (which I found yesterday) in February 1988
When I was in 9th grade. Stay tethered to Jesus Christ!
Waiting for the Storm
Stop now and listen
Be wise, I tell you
Change your evil ways
You have brewed a wicked storm
Raging like a hurricane
Thriving on hatred, cruelty, lies, and wars
It has the power to end the world…
And kill every last living soul on it
For as it approached
You feel the bitter lashing winds
Freezing your once warm heart
And twisting your once sane minds
Till you become emotionless
Hypnotized in vacant stares
Too afraid to reach out and help
But wait I tell you! It’s not too late!
It only takes one to make a difference
Only one to turn the tides!
Yet to you, one isn’t enough,
So there you stand…
Waiting for the storm…
And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so muchbthat they were afraid to die. Rev. 12:11
And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering.
Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.
A Prayer of Praise
Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.
All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.
Jude 1:22-25
