Dear brothers and sisters,
On May 1/2023, the Holy Spirit was ministering to me regarding the importance of Haggai’s prophecy and how it relates to our generation. It is so amazing when we are able to read the Old Testament and discern its relevance by gleaning crucial lessons such as, where we are at in Father’s prophetic timeline, what comes next, how we can prepare for future events and what is our Heavenly Father’s expectation of us. The Old Testament depicts story after story, prophecy after prophecy, that are spiritually mirrored in the New Testament. The Bible is such a masterpiece!
Through the reading of Scriptures and particularly of the Old Testament, we can obtain such a great picture of our Father’s character. And because He tells us that He never changes, we can rest assured that what has been in the past, will re-occur
Without further delay, let’s get right into the Word.
Back in the day of the prophet Haggai, Father inquired of His people why they had built and were living in paneled houses while His house remained a ruin.
Today, He is asking His people the same identical question. Why is it that we can be so busy working on our projects to forsake care of our spiritual temples where the presence of the Holy Spirit truly dwells!? How can we be so absorbed into our own lives to miss out that we are currently living in End Times?
How many of us can say that we have fully repented of our sins and are living in covenant with Father? That we are living out our salvation in fear and trembling and have stored enough oil to last us until our BrideGroom returns? Or how many of us can confidently attest to have an intimate relationship with our Saviour? If so, do we know His heart, what He desires from us? And are we obeying Him despite the multitudes that are disagreeing with us?
As it stands right now, I would hope you are awake to what comes next. Father’s warnings have been going out for quite some time. If you haven’t entered into His intimate fellowship by now, forsaking all the ways of the world and committing your life wholly to Him, come to Him without delay.
Here, I am talking to those who claim to be His disciples, that have already confessed Him as Lord and Saviour, yet have fallen asleep while Satan has kept busy planting all sorts of weeds, laying the groundwork for the New World Order to emerge. Some of us have felt its protruding tentacles pushing through the ground back in 2020.
If you have not prepared yourselves by tuning in to the voice of the Holy Spirit, do not harden your heart. It is heartbreaking, in this time and age, to see multitudes attending churches and having zero understanding of the times we are living in. I have shared in a previous Word, how the Holy Spirit referred to these people as ‘ill-prepared’ (That was in Part 1 of MARTYRDOM – PREFACE). Yet, here I am, coming to you off the book of Haggai, such as the Holy Spirit was ministering to me in details a few nights ago, and bringing forth another set of warnings. Thank you Father, for another opportunity to examine ourselves and fully repent. Please search our hearts and shine your light in us, so that anything that displeases you, offends you, or is not in line with your Word can be dealt with immediately. Dear Heavenly Father, we understand the time is ripe when you will no longer hold back your judgments from the earth. Help us to prepare ourselves for what must be. Fortify us through your Spirit so that our hearts do not fail at the sights that we will see. Give us hearts to know you, a hunger for your Word, a fervent zeal for those things that are important to you and a love for the lost. Help us to go forth under your anointing to minister to anyone who has ears to hear at this hour that which your Spirit deems necessary for us to know. Guide us to stay clear of the Wide path and to resist Satan’s temptations. And leads us in your ways everlasting. In Yeshua’s name. Amen!
And so, going back to Haggai, Father made His people notice how they had sown much but reaped little; they ate much but their bellies were not satisfied; they drank but their thirst wasn’t quenched. And how they earned money but it felt as if it was deposited into bags with holes!? Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Father made them aware that He was behind their scarcity, because He wanted them to consider their ways or in other words examine themselves, repent and return to following Him wholeheartedly. He then asked them to go up the mountain to collect wood so they may begin repairing His home. Father said that the reason why they were not able to see blessings was because His house remained a waste. Therefore, the dew was withdrawn while the land held back its fruit. These same judgments are roaring around our world today as people desperately run from one place to another looking for solutions, for water from a new cistern, or food to eat as it states in Amos 4, not realizing the cause of their deficiency. So, for as long as people do not stop to consider the real reason for the drought or for the land withdrawing its fruit, they will not know that crying out to Father in full repentance is key in order that He may forgive their sins and heal their land.
In Haggai’s times, the people heeded to the message and pledged to go up the mountain to collect the wood needed to repair Father’s house. Thus, Father stirred up the Spirits of Zerubbabel, Jeshua and of the Remnant to go and repair His house.
Brothers and sisters, in our dispensation, Father is stirring again the Spirit of Zerubbabel, Jeshua and His remnant to build His home. This time He is not talking about a physical dwelling such was the case then, but He is referring to our spiritual temples. How do we know this? By listening to the Holy Spirit connecting the dots for us between this prophecy, Zec.4 and Rev.11. You may also want to go back and have a listen to an older Word entitled, THE THIRD TEMPLE.
Acts 7:48-49 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, 49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
1 Cor. 6:19 know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
People have for decades speculated regarding the building of the 3rd temple in Jerusalem. But how many have paid attention that the temple Father is truly interested in is our hearts? Are we too busy with our everyday routine to ignore that our hearts may be in need of a makeover? If we examine ourselves, will we find the Holy Spirit comfortably living inside us or will we discover spiritual spider webs, dust balls, and filthy spots? Do our hearts harbour things like resentment, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, rebellion, lust? Or are they cleansed, purged, purified, filled with godly light that radiates through our entire being?
Ok, let’s go into chapter 2 and verse 3 where Father asks who among the people had seen the temple in its former glory. He goes on to remind Zerubbabel, Jeshua and the Remnant not to fear because He would be with them through the repairing work. Finally, making a remarkable statement in verse 9.
Hag.2:6-9 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; 7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. 9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.
And why is this such a remarkable statement? Because Father was hinting to the glory that will be revealed in us when our temples are filled of His full presence. So much so, that it will make the glory of Solomon’s temple fade in comparison.
Notice how, in the Old Testament, Father first met with Moses in the Tent of Meeting. That was the first Tabernacle, if you will, where His glory dwelt. Then, He had a physical temple built by King Solomon. After its destruction at the hand of the Babylonians, Father inquired about its restoration (which is where the book of Haggai comes in). Finally, during End Times, we understand how those were symbols of our spiritual temples – our bodies, the habitation of the Holy Spirit.
In Matt.24, we read how the disciples were standing in front of the second Temple and pointed out to Yeshua how magnificent it was. At this, Yeshua made another remarkable statement. He said that not one stone would remain standing one on top of the other. That every single one of them was going to fall down. He was referring to separate fulfillments of that one prophecy. One, to the literal destruction of that 2nd temple at the hands of the Romans. Secondly, to the fact that His body was going to be torn down. Thirdly, to the fact that in our times, all the man-made religious structures will come tumbling down as His people, the Living Stones, will rise up to deliver Father’s undefiled version of His Word and bring in His harvest. What an amazing time to be alive! Both you and I are getting to witness this prophecy coming to pass before our very eyes. Hallelujah!!
Now, in verse 14, we are told that if one touched a dead body, that he would be unclean and that same uncleanness would transfer to anything else that person would touch. In a similar manner, there are many people nowadays who follow ungodly ways thus becoming defiled. Furthermore, anyone who copies that same evil behaviour will also defile their temples.
Once again, Father said to consider how when one came to a heap of 20 measures, only 10 were found; or how when one came to a wine vat to draw 50 measures, there were only 20. For He had struck all the work with mildew, blight and hail. At first, the Israelites were not aware that this was Father’s way to get their attention. However, because the people recognized their mistake and agreed to repair Father’s house, Yah promised to bless them.
In verse 21, Zerubbabel was told that Yah was going to shake the heavens and the earth, overturn royal thrones and shatter the power of the foreign kingdoms. He was going to destroy the chariots and their drivers. This last statement was in reference to the book of Exodus when the Egyptians’ chariots chased after the Israelites only to be destroyed in the Red Sea. It’s going to take a little more time for this portion of the prophecy to be fulfilled in our times, when Yah will intervene and completely tear down all the current demonic governing authorities. Satan must be given his short time to reign and wreak havoc before the coming of Yeshua and the establishment of His Millenium Kingdom. But we can rest assured, that in its due timing, it will happen.
And finally, in verse 23, we read how Father said that He will make Zerubbabel as His signet ring. In the Bible, the person who carried the signet ring had the authority to execute a matter. At times, a king would give his signet ring to one of his trusted officials. That meant that the King was transferring his authority to his adviser to write up a law, seal it with his ring and have it published throughout the kingdom so the law could come into effect. Examples of this can be found in the story of Joseph and Pharaoh in Genesis 41:42 or of King Xerxes and Haman in Esther 3:10. In Hag.2, Father giving Zerubbabel His signet ring was like saying that he was going to be the overseer in repairing His Temple.
Likewise, in our times, I know that there are some who have received this same privilege and anointing of carrying Father’s signet ring to build His spiritual temple which will comprise of all the believers who will make up the perfect Bride for Yeshua, one without spot nor wrinkle.
May Father receive ALL praises and glory for this revelation!
