THE GIFT OF PROPHECY

Dear brothers and sisters,

in the last Word entitled, THE ARMY FROM THE NORTH – PART 2, I left off saying that Father wanted me to address the importance of the gift of prophecy during our times. Here is an exerpt from that message:

“Because many do not know how to hear from Him directly, have gotten lost on the Wide Road or are following lies, Father said that in His great mercy He has raised up many prophets to stand in the gap between Him and His people. For His desire is that none should perish but that all would inherit eternal life.”

In this Word, specific to the gift of prophecy, we will look at what is a prophet, why does Yah appoint prophets, and what is His message to today’s generation.

So, what is a PROPHET? A prophet is a messenger chosen and anointed by Father to deliver His Words and messages. In other words, a prophet is Father’s mouthpiece. It is at the Holy Spirit’s discretion to decide who to hand this gift to as per 1 Cor.12:11, for the purpose of edifying His church and leading it in the right direction.

Nowadays, Yah’s Word has been so misinterpreted by those in the leadership, that the majority of Christians do not really know what it actually teaches. One of the reasons this is so, is because many believers do not know how to seek Father in their secret places to receive revelations, prophetic insight and instructions directly from Him. And so, I want to encourage you all, first and foremost, to study the Scriptures for yourselves. And whatever you hear from others, take it all to the Holy Spirit in prayer for confirmation. I cannot stress enough how essential this is. This is what Father means when He says, “MY PEOPLE perish for lack of understanding”.

Did you ever consider that people lost their lives at the cost of translating the Bible so that you and I could have copies readily available to us today? People like Tyndale recognized the necessity of having such valuable document translated so that others could read it, understand it and live by it. Yah’s Word is a wealth of knowledge, it is His wisdom, if one would put enough effort into deciphering it. It runs like a bowl of spaghetti, all tangled up and yet connected telling us the past, the present and the future. Who else can provide such knowledge? Many stories can be read plainly. But how do those stories relate to us and how are they connected to each other? The Bible brings the story of humanity full circle. By understanding what has been, we can learn what will be. And yet, if you don’t ask the Holy Spirit for assistance, you WILL miss the gems, the pearls, the diamonds hidden within it. This is one of the reasons that the Word has been greatly misunderstood and taught poorly – for lack of understanding. To a generation who is so used to having things at their fingertips, who’d want to seek Yah in their secret places to unravel these secret messages?

Man cannot fathom the vastness of the Heavenly Father’s mercy. Father’s heart is so grieved over the condition of His people, their lack of zeal in following Him. Father could have just let us go our merry way and landed us where we deserved. Just think about it: we can spend days organizing for an event, looking after the most minute details, but would not invest the same time and energy searching the Word and Father’s instructions. He has already sent His one and only begotten Son to die for the sins of humanity to make a way for mankind to be reconciled to Him; He has already given us His written Word as a manual for us to follow. And He has sent His prophets throughout history – men and women speaking His Words in the attempt of rescuing some souls from hell. I pray many here have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying.

Notice that Father is addressing, above all, HIS PEOPLE, which is in agreement with what Yeshua said that many will strive to enter in at the strait gate and won’t be able to (Luk.13:24), and the same will call out to Him, “Lord, Lord, open unto us” and will hear Him answering, “I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity” (Luk.13:25). These verses refer to people who thought they were following Yeshua on the narrow path and in the end received a bitter surprise.

It is the responsibility of each individual to fill their lamps with the oil of the Holy Spirit -the Spirit of Truth, the One who hears from Father.

John 16:12-13 [Yeshua said] I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

It is also each believer’s duty to test everything you hear, through the Holy Spirit’s lens, in humble prayer, and to have Him confirm it with His Word. If you skip these steps, you may very well put yourself in a position of being deceived. Once your ears become accustomed to being tickled by falsity, your spiritual lens will be partly obstructed and your view skewed. This will cause you to interpret things in error. It is vital, therefore, to live a life of full repentance such that nothing stands between us and the Father and our discernment is pure.

Jer.12:5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?

Brothers and sisters,

We’re living in a critical time as judgments have already begun. Do you not see the second horseman of the Apocalypse wreaking havoc by spreading wars, rumors of wars, insurrections, protests, civil wars, conflicts, removing peace all over the world? I exhort you to leave behind all that may be hindering you from having an intimate relationship with Yeshua. If you’ve wondered far from Him, do not despair. Cry out to Him in true repentance and He’ll be faithful to forgive. Sit at His feet, in His counsel that you may learn what the Father requires. I pray that, in doing so, you will find mercy before His throne.

The purpose of a prophet is essentially to stand in the gap between Father and His people the way Moses ministered before Father and delivered his words to Israel in the hope that they would repent. In our times, Father has sent out many of His prophets to convey His messages to His people to guide, teach, correct, rebuke and convict through the power of the Holy Spirit. If we lead a repentant life, we should be able to feel the Holy Spirit’s stirrings and guidance. In which case, the prophet’s messages should be easily confirmed through what the Holy Spirit has already shown us. However, if you find yourself at a loss for this, here are a few things to consider:

1. The possibility that you may be following lies from pastors, false prophets and teachers.

Jonah 2:8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

2. Your sin has built a wall separating you from Yah. Break it down through confession and repentance.

Isa.59:2 Your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

3. You may not be living a life fully surrendered to the Holy Spirit, in covenant with Yah, following His commands.

If you fall into any of these categories, chances are that you are not intercepting Yah’s messages with accuracy. Thankfully, Father has appointed prophets: people who are walking with Him and are able to hear from Him, to tell His people what they need to know.

For some time, Father has held back His anger and let mankind do what it wanted. He has allowed ample time for the prodigals to return home. But now that judgements are here and not much repentance, He has raised up His prophets to hopefully enlighten His people on what they need to know -plain and clear. I hope you can see and appreciate Father’s immense mercy through this gesture. If all else fails, at the very minimum, those who are hearing these warnings will not be able to stand before Yeshua one day and say they have never heard this before.

Now, if you have made your confession of faith and then gone back to living a sinful life, then your confession of faith is useless. That is because we cannot take one verse and go off of that, but we must take the whole Bible in context. This means that in order to enter heaven we do not ONLY need to have faith in Yeshua, but also follow His commands. Our faith must be alive.

Father’s ideal goal would be to see ALL people turn their hearts towards Him so their souls won’t perish for eternity in the lake of fire (Jer.23:22). If you can accept it, today’s prophets are fulfilling the prophecy in Mal.4:5-6, carrying Elijah’s mantle to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the children’s hearts to their fathers.

Note that, sometimes a prophecy may be conditional upon certain criteria, such as: if you repent, Father will not bring about the judgment that He was planning to inflict on a certain people. This was the case with Nineveh who was told, “40 more days and the city will be overthrown”. But because all the people (and even animals), beginning with the king, repented in sackcloth and ashes, Father’s judgment was held back. In other cases, the prophecy is certain to occur, meaning that no repentance, prayer or fasting can make it go away. This will be the case of Mystery Babylon as Father knows that no matter how much time He could grant for her to repent she will never leave her abominations, sins and wickedness behind. Therefore, it is only a matter of time before His clock strikes midnight and His wrath is fully unleashed.

Jer.2:11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

Isa. 26:9b) when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Jer.26:2-6 Thus saith the Lord; Stand in the court of the Lord’s house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord’s house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word: 3 If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings. 4 And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord; If ye will not hearken to me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you, 5 To hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and sending them, but ye have not hearkened; 6 Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.

What does 1 Thess.5:20 mean when it says, “Despise not prophesyings”, or as the NIV version puts it, “Do not treat prophecies with contempt”? Contempt means to disregard something that should be taken into account; the offense of being disobedient to or disrespectful.

Please understand that a prophecy is a message given directly by Father through His Holy Spirit to His chosen vessels. This means that the messengers do not get to pick what to say. They are simply the carriers of the messages. If someone chooses to disregard prophecy, they are not causing an infraction towards the prophet but toward Father. Hence why, it is essential that one should take the message to prayer and have the Holy Spirit confirm if indeed it’s from Him and how it lines up with His Word. Father would not deliver a message that is contradictory to His written Word. By having the Holy Spirit verify the veracity of the message, one can weed out any false prophecies. Now, having said that, if the prophecy is confirmed to be true, then the listeners would do well to heed promptly or face consequences for their disobedience.

In the Old Testament, prophets were appointed by Father to guide His people Israel. They would often receive instructions to report to the king so that he could relay them back to the people and lead them to obey. Other times, the kings would ask the prophets to inquire of Yah on their behalf if they should engage in battle with other nations. Sometimes, Father would use His prophets to advise the people prior to a judgment being poured to give them a chance to repent. Father warns through the mouth of more than one prophet, so that through the testimony of at least 2, every word can be established.

Typically, prophets cannot pull away from their calling. They carry an enormous responsibility both before Father and the people. They must be attentive to convey His messages with accuracy. Should they fail to bring forth Father’s words, the Bible says that the blood of the people would be on the prophets’ hands. Furthermore, prophets cannot fear the people’s response to their prophecies, but they must focus on fearing Yah even at the cost of being scoffed, mocked, abandoned from their peers.

In my case, similar to Jeremiah, I learned that Father chose me as one of His prophets since before birth.

Jer.1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

As far as I’m concerned, as should be with everyone who claims to be a Christian, I am actively engaged in living a holy life in order to stand and minister before Father’s counsel. I hold myself highly accountable and do my absolute best to deliver His messages and teachings as accurately as I can. For I understand that every word I pronounce is being documented in the courts of heaven. With that, I invite you to go through the Scripture references or links I provide through the guidance of the Holy Spirit so you can benefit by obtaining a clearer picture of what is said. These resources are provided to you freely, just as I have freely received them. I take no credit for myself. Rather, ALL glory goes to the Most High Yah!! But if there is one thing I will boast about is this, that I understand and know Yah who exercises lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. I am honoured to be one of His chosen vessels, however difficult this responsibility has been, and will continue to be, at times. So, I hope that you will not take anything that is said here lightly, but that you will take the time to consider, pray and heed.

During my communing with the Father, the Holy Spirit led me to this passage.

2 Chron.36:15-16 And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: 16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

The Holy Spirit reminded me of Old Testament’s prophecies that were often overlooked, mocked, ignored. You can ignore, scoff, mock, choose not to believe all you want. But I warn you that, that’s not going to help you in the day of your disaster. So, how do you prepare? By purchasing from Him His gold tried in the fire, so that you may become rich; white garments, so that you may cover your spiritual nakedness; and ointment for your eyes, so that you may see in the spiritual realm. Repent, spend quality time seeking Father in your secret place. Praise Him, worship Him, read His Word, fast. Let His Word wash over you so that it can do its job of cleansing you and transform you into a worthy vessel. Let Him be your HIDING PLACE, your safe refuge. Find shelter under the wings of the Almighty ALONE, for His Name is a great fortress.

2 Chron. 36 tells us about a couple of kings who blatantly chose the ways of Satan, the defilement of their temples by chasing after idols. These kings led Israel astray and in the end suffered the consequences.

By reading the Word and looking back at our history, we can gather a pretty solid picture of Father’s character. Since He never changes, what has been, will be again. The same punishments He inflicted on His people Israel for forsaking His commands, are coming for us today. If you choose to disobey Him and continue going your merry way, do not think that if your life appears comfortable that His judgments do not apply to you. If He has decreed the sword for you, be sure that the sword WILL come your way. If exile, famine, pestilence, disaster, separation, His hand will find you and deliver unto you according to what you deserve and what His Word says in Lev.26 and Deut.28. And he will make no distinction between young and old, man or woman, Jew or Gentile. For Father shows no favoritism.

Amos 9:1-4 I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered. 2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down: 3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them: 4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

Temples or church buildings will be overtaken, burned and destroyed. Do not idolize them. Instead, be diligent to keep your individual temples pure, such that no other god is sitting on the throne of your heart. It is a difficult process to learn, that to die to ourselves daily, to pick up our crosses and follow Messiah, to persevere. But that is the way to holiness, purity, and eventually, heaven.

Please read and study Luk.4

During the time of great testing, many will be tempted by Satan. Hunger will knock on their doors and Satan will offer opportunities to gather food. Brothers and sisters, please listen! No matter how hungry you get, resist the temptation to give in to Satan. Instead, cry out to Father for His intervention. Did you see how, with the jab, when the option was presented (jab for job), MANY were afraid for their lives and chose the jab? When the MOTB will surface, life will be much harder and Satan’s solution will look more appealing. If you’re not fastened to Yah, if you don’t depend on Him 100%, if you have not learned how to live by faith, you will perish by giving in to the pressure of the MOTB. Remember that he is like a roaring lion looking for a prey to devour. His mission is to steal, kill and destroy. Therefore, do not give him a foothold. His mission is not to merely slap you in the face, but he seeks to devour your soul, to trample on you until you are no more. When he gets a hold of his prey, he does not let go. Avoid falling into his traps. Resist him at all costs and he will flee from you. Satan will entice you with opportunities for riches and splendor. Do not fall for them. Ask Yeshua for discernment to be able to see these traps. For if you fall into them, it will be a steep climb back up to the surface IF you repent and call out to Father.

Isa.1:2-3, 5-6, 18 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. 3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. 5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. 6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
