The Axe Is At the Root of the Tree – Rachel Adamus

I have been barraged with number patterns today. First it was the number 12 or numbers that added up to 12. Then it was numbers that added up to 10. Then it was combinations of numbers with multiple 4’s in it. I noticed that the 4’s always seemed to begin and end a three-number combination. I prayed and asked the Lord if He wanted to use these numbers and show me something. I heard in my spirit that I should look up the number 4 in Strong’s Concordance.
In Greek, the number four means, “not burdensome” and the corresponding verse showed the context being that the Apostle Paul did not want to be a burden to the churches to whom he was ministering (2 Corinthians 11:9). In Hebrew, the number four means “fruit.” The context was the fruit of a stately tree described in Daniel 4:12. And immediately, I thought of this verse: “Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire” (Matthew 3:10). The Lord then impressed upon me to write (in the context of Daniel 4).
Daniel 4:4-17: “I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at ease in my house and prospering in my palace. I saw a dream that made me afraid. As I lay in bed the fancies and the visions of my head alarmed me. So I made a decree that all the wise men of Babylon should be brought before me, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream. Then the magicians, the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers came in, and I told them the dream, but they could not make known to me its interpretation. At last Daniel came in before me—he who was named Belteshazzar after the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods—and I told him the dream, saying,O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and that no mystery is too difficult for you, tell me the visions of my dream that I saw and their interpretation. The visions of my head as I lay in bed were these: I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great. The tree grew and became strong, and its top reached to heaven, and it was visible to the end of the whole earth. Its leaves were beautiful and its fruit abundant, and in it was food for all. The beasts of the field found shade under it, and the birds of the heavens lived in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it.
‘I saw in the visions of my head as I lay in bed, and behold, a watcher, a holy one, came down from heaven. He proclaimed aloud and said thus: “Chop down the tree and lop off its branches, strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts flee from under it and the birds from its branches. But leave the stump of its roots in the earth, bound with a band of iron and bronze, amid the tender grass of the field. Let him be wet with the dew of heaven. Let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth. Let his mind be changed from a man’s, and let a beast’s mind be given to him; and let seven periods of time pass over him. The sentence is by the decree of the watchers, the decision by the word of the holy ones, to the end that the living may know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will and sets over it the lowliest of men.”‘”
Oh, my people, my people…Do you not know the hour in which you live? I am your God, and there is no other; I am your God and there is none like me (Isaiah 46:9). Yet you do not listen to me. You despise my prophets who have not exploited you or burdened you–only warned you, loved you, sought you, and built you up. And you trample my holy Word–a Word that you do not even read let alone heed. When will you fear me my people? You say to yourself, “I am a stately tree, full of grace and beauty; there is none like me. The nations come to me. I am indispensable. I am needed by the world to feed her the Word of God. I am needed by the world to provide shelter in the time of storm. I am needed by the world to adorn her with beauty.” Yet, you do not realize, my people, that you ARE dispensable, you are needy, you are empty of my glory, the dew of heaven has dried up before you. You shrivel up like a leaf and you are blown away by my Spirit, for you do not listen to Him. He would fill you and make you powerful among the nations, yet instead, He will shame you before the nations. Like the tree seen by King Nebuchadnezzar, you will spend time in my judgment, feeling the elements, suffering and languishing, because you prided yourself in your own achievements rather than glorifying my name in the earth. The time is complete. Your warnings are over. It will be as I have said. Do not say in your hearts, “No, we will not listen; for every time the prophets have spoken, these things have not come to pass.” Oh, my people, have you no ears to hear and no eyes to see? Has not the time given to you been only to turn your hearts back to me? Has it not been to teach you, to correct you, to chastise you and to strengthen you in me? Yet you would have none of it. Oh, my people, have I not been oh-so-long suffering toward you, so merciful? Yet you have despised my grace. You think you are king, the greatest nation on the face of the earth, but in a day, you will be decimated. My daughter, I speak to America “the great” but also to my people, my church, who have called themselves by my name but have become in themselves Babylon. Time is up; tick-tock, tick-tock. Midnight is striking now! My daughter, the numbers you saw are confirmation from me. The number 12 is midnight. “But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.'” (Matthew 25:6). The number 10 represents the 10 virgins of which I spoke. “Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise” (Matthew 25:1-2). Are you awake, my virgins? How many of you will be sleeping when I come? How many of you have trimmed your lamps? WAKE UP YOU SLEEPING VIRGINS! Time is out. The number 10 is also a confirmation for you. The number 10 represents my Bride.
I looked up this number in Strong’s Concordance. In Greek, it stands for the name “Abihud,” the son of Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel was the leader of Judah who brought back the sons of Judah from Babylon to Jerusalem after the captivity 70 years before. The Bride of Christ is in essence, the son of Zerubbabel because she is called to bring many out of captivity from darkness in a final harvest of souls.
Yes, my daughter, this is the glorious calling of my Bride, my partner, my help-meet, my chosen Army to fulfill the calling for which she has been called. “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9). My sons and daughters, put on your armor! Prepare for battle! Meet the foe and slaughter him! Take back from him those who have been bound in darkness. Destroy the one who would destroy you. Bind the strong man. Take back the spoils of war! Do you not see it, my children, do you not feel it in your bones? I am sounding the war drums. I am beating your hearts to the same rhythm as mine. Look up! Your redemption draws near! The other part of the number 10 speaks of the devil and his final victory–or what he believes to be his final victory. Just as Satan thought he had conquered me at the cross, so now he will consider me a conquered foe. He will bring into cahoots with himself all the kings and dark agents of this world to conspire against me, but I will thwart Him, says the LORD. I will utterly destroy him in my anger. I will bring an end to him and his agents. I will throw them all into the Lake of Fire forever, says the LORD!
The Hebrew of the number 10 is “abaddon” or “destruction.” Satan and his army will go to destruction, while Christ and His army will glory in the spoils!
Psalm 2:1-6: “Why do the nations conspire

and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
‘Let us break their chains
and throw off their shackles.’
The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.
He rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
‘I have installed my king
on Zion, my holy mountain.'”
Haggai 2:1-9: “In the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by the hand of Haggai the prophet:Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to all the remnant of the people, and say,Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? How do you see it now? Is it not as nothing in your eyes? Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the LORD. Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land, declares the LORD. Work, for I am with you, declares the LORD of hosts, according to the covenant that I made with you when you came out of Egypt. My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not. For thus says the LORD of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the LORD of hosts. The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the LORD of hosts.”‘”
