Leap of Faith

On 10/24/19 the Lord gave me a vision of a draw bridge. You know the kind that opens in the middle and the 2 sides lift up. I saw a boy on a dirt bike racing across the bridge just as it was opening up in the middle. As he leapt over the widening gap, my heart leapt in my chest. I had the immediate thought “LEAP OF FAITH”. Little did I know that the Lord was about to send me on the most challenging adventure of my life, one requiring a momentous leap of faith.

It all started when I came across a post by Collins Ouma called “Instructions to the Waiting Remnant” dated 1/14/2020 at INSTRUCTIONS TO THE WAITING REMNANTS – Collins Ouma – 444 Prophecy News. The gist was that the Lord’s Remnant would be gathering at His Holy Mountain and that we would receive a dream or vision with further instructions.

That night I asked the Lord who was Collins Ouma? And could I trust that these instructions were truly from the Lord? During the night I heard the Holy Spirit say that Collins was a very important person in His Kingdom. Then I heard “BLOW A TRUMPET IN ZION”. That scripture is from Joel 2:15-16. The next line is “Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room.” So that is how the Lord confirmed Collins’ post. And that is how I knew that He was about to send me somewhere.

On 1/23/2020 I had a dream where I was traveling in a car with a man with blue eyes, who said that he was a seer. He was driving and I was sitting on the passenger side. I asked where we were going and he said Chicago. End of dream.

When I awoke, I asked the Lord for confirmation that he was truly sending me to Chicago, but heard nothing. Later that same morning I came across Deborah Waldron Fry’s post called “Stepping out into the unknown” (1/23/20) at Stepping Out Into the Unknown ~ by Deborah Waldron Fry (hiskingdomprophecy.com). It said “IT’S TIME…TIME TO STEP OUT IN FAITH. YOU HAVE BEEN LED BY SIGHT UNTIL NOW BUT NOW I AM HOLDING OUT MY HAND TO YOU TO WALK IN PLACES YOU CANNOT SEE.” Wow! I even received a second confirmation in a post by Kelley Ewing (1/23/2020) titled “He is coming” at HE is Coming! ~ by Kelley Ewing (hiskingdomprophecy.com). It said “YOU ARE MOVING FORWARD. IT IS TIME. IT IS TIME TO GO! I DECLARE IT IS TIME TO GO!” So not just one, but two confirmations! Just wow!!

So that very day I packed my bags, hopped in my car, and started driving north to Chicago. Let me just say that I was absolutely terrified. Big cities terrify me, especially ones with which I am unfamiliar. Even with a well-planned itinerary, traveling has always stressed me. But in this case all I knew was that I was going to Chicago. I knew nothing beyond that. How long would I be gone? How much should I pack? What should I pack? Where would I stay? Where exactly in Chicago was I going? What exactly was I going to be doing? I was beyond terrified. All I knew to do was drive north for an hour or so, pull off the road, and pray for further instructions. So drive, park, pray, repeat – that was my game plan. And for someone who likes to be in control down to the most minute detail, it was a scary one.

That night (1/23/20) I stayed in a hotel in Rolla, Missouri. Because of all the uncertainty, I was tense, stressed and weepy. Okay, weepy might be an understatement – there was a whole lot of crying going on. I just couldn’t believe I was in some strange motel spending money that I didn’t have, to go someplace that I didn’t want to go. Right before I went to sleep, the Lord gave me a vision of a father lifting up his little girl in the air. I interpreted this to mean “I LIFT UP”. After I saw that vision, I actually felt better.

The next day I got all the way to the outskirts of Chicago, maybe 125 miles out. There I stopped at a rest area and headed over to a wall of maps. As I was studying a map of Chicago, an older man asked me where in Chicago I was heading. I just stared at him blankly, wishing I knew the answer to that question myself. And how exactly could I even answer this man? “Oh, I’m heading to Chicago but I have no clue as to my exact destination, just relying on the Lord to get me where I need to go”. Instead of full disclosure, I responded with a noncommittal grunt. He said that if I was heading to Lake Shore Drive, it was the easiest thing in the world. Just stay on I55 and I would run right into it. So that was my new game plan. Just go straight.

To be continued…

ISAIAH 35:8 And there will be a highway called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not travel it, only those who walk in that Way — and fools will not stray onto it. No lion will be there, and no vicious beast will go up on it. Such will not be found there, but the redeemed will walk upon it.

PROVERBS 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
