Repent Because Of Who Jesus Is, Not Because A Storm Is Coming – Jeanette

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ (Matthew 7:21-23)

The Lord continues to warn of the soon coming calamities and a call to repentance.

Wake up, those of you who call yourselves by My name! You gather together in what you say is My name, but your hearts are far from Me. You host abominations and call it worship. I tell you such things were not done even in Sodom and Gomorrah.

Am I a God who cannot? What is this accusation against Me that you hold in your heart? For you say the Lord will not do this or that. Will you accuse Me of not being able? You seek your own will and want to do your own thinking and make your own way. You would do well to remember My word.

12 At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps,
and I will punish the men
who are complacent,
those who say in their hearts,
‘The LORD will not do good,
nor will he do ill (Zephaniah 1:12)

You say false things about Me. You have made a god in your imagination. Search My word and see who I am. Do not discard part of My word. Do not heed part of My word and not another part. Receive My whole counsel.

You talk about Me, but you do not listen to Me. You point a finger at those who do not call upon My name. You point a finger to those who walk in darkness and you say My anger burns against them. But I tell you, My judgement begins at My house.

Wake up! Repent! Your sins have mounted up as a stench in My nostrils. You are in love with the world. You do mighty works and bring it before Me to boast in your own work. Your works were not done in obedience that comes in faith and they are an abomination.

You do not humble yourself before Me. You do not listen to Me but you eat up the words of the false prophets who give you works and promises of prosperity.

You shout, ‘faith’ but I say to you, where is your faith in Me?
You are wild animals and waterless springs.
Repent. A day is soon coming when I will not hold back My anger.

You are arrogant and think you will stand on that Day. But I say you, humble yourself today for I am holy.

War will be on the soil. Tumult in the sea. Fire from the deep. Shaking, shaking.
Wake up while it is still today.

You say you are ready but I say you, you are not prepared for what I am sending. Repent and obey My word. Come, have fellowship with Me. But you love fellowship with the world.
My sheep hear My voice and those who belong to Me obey My word. I seek those who worship Me in Spirt and truth. I will be with you until the end of the age. Do not love the world or the things of the world. Draw near and let Me finish what I began in you. I love you. Do not bend your knee to another. Remain true to Me, your Redeemer and Savior. I am your soon coming Groom.

Gather together, yes, gather,
O shameless nation,
2 before the decree takes effect
—before the day passes away like chaff—
before there comes upon you
the burning anger of the LORD,
before there comes upon you
the day of the anger of the LORD.
3 Seek the LORD, all you humble of the land,
who do his just commands;
seek righteousness; seek humility;
perhaps you may be hidden
on the day of the anger of the LORD. (Zephaniah 2:1-3)

Oh dear brothers and sisters, can we grasp how great is the love of Jesus! For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
13 As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. (Psalm 103:11-13) Jesus shed His precious blood for us. Let us hold fast to Him. He is not far off waiting for His cue to enter the stage. May we humble ourselves before Him, repent of our sins, seek Him with all our heart, listen to Him, obey Him and treasure fellowship with Him today.
Come, Lord Jesus!
