Many choose to live in a world of make believe, ignoring the evil that surrounds. Others have decided it is time to tune out all that would cast a shadow over their fantasy island, choosing instead to listen to the chirping of crickets, the singing of the birds. I’ve heard it said ignorance is bliss. Let no one in any way deceive you, for the day of the LORD will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12

Many among us question the intent; why so negative they ask, why such gloom and doom; ‘que sera sera’ – not to worry they assure us, we will be ‘snatched’ away very soon! Really!?! As the pendalum continues to swing, millions cower in fear, embracing cuddly-Christianity as panic and dread fill their heart and hopelessness fills their lives. A wise man once wrote: ‘We must preach trust in our wonderful Almighty God whose grace is entirely sufficient, whose strength is made perfect in our weakness. We must preach a discipleship that counts everything loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ, and that exhorts us to seek God for grace not to love our own lives unto the death, but to forsake all for Him.’

God warned Pharaoh, Noah, Abraham, Lot, and the Apostles the Prophets and others of what would happen in the future and still He warns today. He does not warn to cause panic but to call His people to prepare. Warnings are given to keep us from harm. He does not expect His people to retreat in fear but advance in faith. Thus I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud and abase the haughtiness of the ruthless. Isaiah 13:11

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, it is well, it is well with my soul. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, let this blest assurance control; that Christ hath regarded my helpless estate, and hath shed His own blood for my soul~Horatio G. Spafford, 1873. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. Revelation 12:11

It must be well with our souls. We must decide now the journey we will take, the path we will follow. Our God has promised He will lead us in the way. He ask that we be an encouragement to those who are faithless, fearful, hopeless and lost. He ask that we share hope, the hope found only in Him. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the worldI John 4:1 Test every word as a good Berean. Everything must line up with the Word of God or it must be cast aside.

Darker grow the days…but God. Riots and rage, hopelessness will take control of many. Speak into hurting hearts, NOW. Guide them NOW. Little time remains to prepare hearts and minds to stay the course, to stand in the midst of great opposition. Church of God arise, wake up to what is happening. Look around and see the good, the bad, the ugly; see and believe in the goodness of our God.  Be prepared. Share the heart of God, the hour grows late. Our ABBA ask that we share His heart of love. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow, because He lives all fear must be gone.
