Preparing with the Lord

It’s Only Just Beginning
I want to share a dream and vision I had on August 16, 2020.
While both the dream and vision were very specific to me that day, I have been led by the Lord to share them on this website with the body at large.
I received this dream a few days after asking the Lord how exactly I, as a European, should prepare for all that is to come, since a lot of words are quite specific to the USA.
Dream
I was travelling unexpectedly to the Netherlands via Curacao. As I was entering the airport, I saw a large airlines takeoff and noted that it was manufactured by Lockheed. I had nothing with me except for my passport and a trash can. I felt very unprepared for the trip ahead. Once I passed through security, I was stopped because they wanted to run some extra checks since I was travelling with very little baggage. While waiting for these checks, I am joined by a man called Harold, who the father of an acquaintance of mine whom is called Timothy. He too was travelling to the Netherlands, to deliver more than 400 euro’s worth of food for his son. Because of this large amount of food in his luggage, he was also flagged for extra checks. As they opened his luggage I saw it filled with non-perishable foods.
Interpretation
I had prayed about this dream, and the Lord revealed to me that it has two interpretations that both answer the question I had.
First I’ll explain some key elements that I had to look up.
Harold: Military command
Timothy: Gives honor to God; God-honoring
400: Strong’s concordance (Hebrew): Food (skol)
Lockheed: Character in Marvel universe, based on a European dragon (beast)
Food: Word of God; Jesus
Trash can: Heart filled with worldly/religious philosophies; Sinful heart;
First interpretation
The first interpretation was regarding my feeling of being unprepared. I was (and surely still am) carrying truths in my heart that are not from God, but that I have learned from the world. And the only way to be rid of those is to spend time in the Bible, the only written source of truth available to us.
So that was an admonishment for me, but I believe it also applies to many others in the body of Christ. In this period I was reading every prophetic word I could find, every dream and vision available. Due to this I was slowly being filled with worry, which led to questions such as “how should I prepare here in Europe?” despite it being written in the Bible that God will protect and sustain us at all times if we remain close to Him. I didn’t truly believe this, and unbelief is sin! Hence the trash-can I was dragging around.
The father in this dream represents God, who is bringing food to his God-honoring children to feed and sustain them.
Matthew 6:25-34 NKJV
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? (26) Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? (27) Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? (28) “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; (29) and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. (30) Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? (31) “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ (32) For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. (33) But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (34) Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Hebrews 3:12 NKJV
Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;
Second interpretation
The second thing the Lord revealed to me regarding this dream was that a European dragon (beast) was taking off. I don’t have any timelines or anything like that. But the Lord is really stressing that we should be prepared for what is to come.
But all preparations should be done with God! If we prepare by buying supplies without God, we might as well have been unprepared, because the Lord must guide us into preparing.
I was led to the Bible story of Elisha and the Widow’s oil.
2 Kings 4:1-7 NKJV
A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.” (2) So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” (3) Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. (4) And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.” (5) So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. (6) Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. (7) Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”
She had but a jar of oil, but this was multiplied in miraculous ways to be able to provide for herself and her sons. Our Father will provide for all His children who honor Him.
God is saying that He doesn’t want us to stock up on foods and supplies based on our own knowledge, but to come to Him and ask Him what we need to buy (if anything), and believe that He will provide through what we have. It’s not our financial situation that determines how well we can prepare for the times that are to come, but our relationship and obedience to God. Maybe the Lord will instruct you to buy one pack of flour, and use it to feed thousands. The body of Christ will be sharing all that they have with each other, as it was in the early church (described in the book of Acts).
Please allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into preparing, so that He can use you to equip His body with all that they need during this time, according to His wisdom.
Vision
The Lord also showed me a vision, as described below:
A large snake is coiling through subterranean pipes, moving very intently towards a target. Suddenly the scene changes and I see a woman on her knees. She’s not praying or anything like that, just staring into the distance, as if distracted. She’s near a window (vulnerable). Suddenly the snake appears in the window, and as soon as the snake appears it strikes the woman in the head without any warning. People are screaming very loudly.
End of vision
Interpretation
The Lord immediately explained to me that the enemy is slowly moving towards his target, his plan is well underway. He’s moving largely unseen to the church that is asleep. When the enemy strikes, it will be sudden and without warning to those who are not staying diligent in preparations. We must remain close to the Lord during these times! We must repent and close any doors/windows the enemy can use to enter our lives.
The enemy will be sending wave after wave of distraction, pray that you are not distracted, that your friends and family are not distracted, and that your church is not distracted.
Stay diligent in maintaining your relationship with God!
Micah 6:8 NKJV
He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
