Old Testament Passages That Predict All The Factors Of The Messiah’s Life

There are many passages in the Old Testement that predict all the factors of the Messiah’s life.

Zechariah 9:9 He will enter into Jerusalem.
Psalm 2:1-3 He will know the fury and rage of His enemies.
Zechariah 13:7 He will be deserted by His friends.
Zechariah 11:12 He will be betrayed for thirty pieces of silver.
Psalm 22:14-17 He will be crucified.
Psalm 34:20 None of His bones will be broken (cf. Ex. 12:46)
Psalm 22:18 His garments will be parted by the casting of lots.
Psalm 69:21 He will be given vinegar to drink.
Psalm 22:1 He will cry out in pain of distress.
Zechariah 12:10 They will pierce Him with a spear.
Psalm 16:10 He will be raised from the dead.
Psalm 110:1 He will ascend into heaven.

  1. Geneis 1:26 is the first prophecy of Jesus, spoken by Yahweh himself. It was not fulfilled in Gen 1:27. Likeness and image are not synonymous. Man doesn’t become LIKE God and Christ until redemption at Calvary, 4,000 years after God alone made man in his image- able to think, reason, communicate, feel, choose, be aware, etc. Likeness involves being christ LIKE.
