I want to praise our Lord and Savior for he was the sacrificial lamb that endured torture, humiliation, degradation for all of our sakes. Without his sacrifice there would never be true salvation. For our Lord and Savior took our place while hanging on the cross, to absolve us of all our sins. It is up to us to decide if we will follow our creator and abide in him or not.
We look at his sacrifice, but it goes so much deeper than his dying in our place. To be a sacrificial lamb, he needed to live a flawless, giving, loving and forgiving life. Anyone knows how difficult it is to even go one day without losing your temper, hating a situation or person for what they have done to you. Try making it a week without upsets, disappointments and still being perfect with all that happens. Now try that for a Lifetime! He did this for us, he knew he had a greater purpose and destiny and did it all flawlessly.
Without this perfection he could not have been there to take on our sins. Each person should be indebted to our Lord and Savior, Jesus of Nazareth.
He knew Judas would betray him but still loved him. He knew the prostitute has done wrong but just told her, “Sin no more.” He knew when those around him were lying, cheating or corrupt but still was civil and loving on his journey. He fed the masses, he healed the sick, he cast out demons. An exemplary life he led.
Each of us are subject to our daily problems, encumbrances, traumas and sometimes sin. He made a way through repentance and staying away from sins to cleanse our souls. He has given us numerous times to get it right, so that we can be counted worthy and righteous. But yet some do not recognize his sacrifice and still are on the fence in many areas of their lives.
It is up to each of us individually to find Jesus and respect his sacrifice. For our future lies in finding him, believing in his sacrifice and staying within the boundaries of his Word. Thank you, Jesus, for all you have done. Past, Present, and Future.
