Oh, the depths of the mysteries of God! Part Two of my puzzle was amazing to me, and as I shared in my conclusion of that study . . . Life-Changing! There was one puzzle piece (PP#9) that I decided to lay aside for further investigation. As promised, here are my findings on that one piece alone. Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, what a study this has been. I feel it is not only the conclusion to the message I began writing on March 9th, but a CONCLUSION to my journey of discovery that began on April 17, 2020. That is the morning I was awakened by a booming ‘Voice from Heaven.’ Our Lord spoke to me in an audible voice. One of the things He said at the very end was the title of a song, “You Say.” I thought it was just a sweet sentiment, letting me know that I belong to Him, but I am now convinced it was a clue to this mystery He wanted me to uncover. Just as Paul said, “I was blind but now I see;” so, too, I can say, “I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT” in ways I never imagined!

I will now ATTEMPT to answer that really big question I left unanswered from my last post, Just Me & My Puzzle – Part Two (3-12-22). This piece popped up when examining Gen. 2:1-3 – “Thus the heavens and the earth were FINISHED, and ALL THE HOST OF THEM. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and he rested on the seventh day from ALL HIS WORK which He had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.” The question that presented itself was:

Puzzle Piece #9: What does FINISHED really mean?

This was my speculation: If ALL THE HOST of HEAVEN AND EARTH were FINISHED on the seventh day, that would include us! If God rested from ALL HIS WORK, are we not also the WORK OF HIS HANDS? (Is. 45:11-13a; Is. 64:8, Jer. 18:6)
This is my reasoning: Our God created all the host of heaven. In Gen. 2:1, I believe this was referring to the heavenly bodies of sun, moon, & innumerable stars. We discussed in Part Two that the angelic hosts are from a previous ‘creation event’ as they are not mentioned in the Genesis account. Yet we know of their existence from references in other places throughout scripture. However, if as Gen. 2:2 says, “God rested from ALL HIS WORK WHICH HE HAD MADE,” that phrase suggests that even the angelic hosts, myriad & myriad in number, were perhaps included. Either way, ALL THE HOST OF HEAVEN would have been very great in number! By deductive reasoning, the assumption could be made that ALL THE HOST OF EARTH would also be great in number. Surely, in the beginning of our creation account, two people (Adam & Eve), and the other creatures of earth would not have constituted a HOST. The fact God commanded them to be fruitful and multiply was perhaps an indication they were few in number. I could be wrong, but it certainly opens up the possibility that all generations that have lived before us and WE OURSELVES could be included in THE HOST OF EARTH! Did God look ahead into TIME itself to see the completion of ALL HIS WORK and then finalize His plan accordingly? I don’t pretend to know how God can manipulate TIME, but I do know that He sees TIME differently than we do.

I mentioned in my last post the episode I experienced with my granddaughter when she was just a toddler. She pointed to the ceiling and said, ‘He smells like rain.’ I finally figured out she was talking about Jesus. He was either visiting her in person to check and see how she was doing, or she remembered his fragrance from being with Him in heaven before her conception. Either scenario was mind-boggling to me. What if, and this is a big IF . . . we were already created before we were sent to earth? We were previously with God (possibly in spirit) and at His appointed time we came to earth in the flesh. You will find throughout scripture the phrase . . . ‘in the fullness of time’ or ‘at the appointed time’ . . . this was even said of Christ’s birth (Gal. 4:4a). There are certainly scriptures that could substantiate the idea of our pre-existence with God in some form or fashion. Psalm 139:16 speaks of God seeing our substance and writing our members in His book, BEFORE there was yet one of them. It would certainly answer the question of how my granddaughter could know such a thing, or even the existence of ‘HIM’! This may be a mystery we will not totally understand until we get to heaven.
Gen. 2:3 is one of the verses that led to our PP#9 – “God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.” One of the ten commandments God delivered to Moses for His people was “Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work; But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work (Ex. 20:8-10a).” This is a bit of a rabbit trail . . . I would suggest you read the entire chapter of Heb. 4, but we find in Heb. 4:8-10 – “For if Jesus had given them rest, then would He not afterward have spoken of ANOTHER DAY. There REMAINETH therefore a REST TO THE PEOPLE OF GOD. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.” Yes, many have entered into their rest through death, but many have not as yet. Some of you reading this post have been called into the Army of God in these end-times. One of the posts the Lord gave me back in August 2020 addressed this REST THAT REMAINETH. I want to take a moment to encourage the soldiers of the Lord. Whatever battles you may have gone through already, or those you may still be facing before your work is done . . . before you cross the FINISH LINE . . . please know our Lord has prepared a REST for you. When the battle is over, we will all lay our burdens down. That day, our Sabbath Rest is soon to come.

My precious brothers and sisters, who can know the mind of God or how He chooses to bring about His purposes? Our God is infinite and limitless. He is outside of time. With Him, ETERNITY IS NOW! Peter tried to explain this concept in 2 Peter 3:8 – “one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” From a prayer attributed to Moses, we can read in Ps. 90:4 – “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.” God absolutely sees the end from the beginning. HE IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END! How difficult would it be for Him to make provision ‘from the beginning’ to assure that His Masterplan comes to fruition just as He purposed it? When God said, “Let there be Light!” His plan was IN PLAY! Every ‘i’ had been dotted and every ‘t’ had been crossed. Everything that ever has been or ever will be is by HIS DESIGN. Come what may, He will have a people of His own, made in His image and likeness.

There is a cliché in Christian circles frequently used by the saints regarding the outcome of God’s design . . . ‘We have read the end of the book and we WIN!’ Many of us give little thought to ‘the depth of that statement’ and what it really means. We don’t stop to think about what is WRITTEN in God’s Word that must be fulfilled from THE BEGINNING OF THE BOOK to the END OF THE BOOK that assures our VICTORY! That ASSURANCE has to do with PREDESTINATION, very closely related to what is known as ELECTION. Simply put . . . God CHOOSES! Remember it is His design. He is the potter, we are the clay. Let me say up front, I am aware this topic often causes division even within the body of Christ. I do not wish to start a debate, but only give you scriptures to hopefully allow you to understand this concept from God’s perspective. I have compiled many pages of scripture on this topic and this message would be overly lengthy if I included them all. I will try to select carefully the ones I feel most address PP#9.

We established in Part Two that from the very FIRST DAY of creation, there was DAY and there was NIGHT. We talked about how the DAY was a picture of those who walk in THE LIGHT (Jesus), and the NIGHT are those who remain in DARKNESS. God’s foreknowledge, as spoken from the beginning, are His plan. A scripture often quoted is Jer. 29:11 – “For I know the thoughts that I have for you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” HE KNOWS YOUR END.
Have you ever wondered about the story of Esau and Jacob? May I suggest you read Rom. 9:11-33. You will see in vs. 13 – “As it is WRITTEN, Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.” Why? Look at vs. 11 – “For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the PURPOSE OF GOD according to ELECTION might stand, not of works, but OF HIM THAT CALLETH.” I know this is difficult to understand but it is part of the character of God. He shows mercy on whom He will. He is our Maker and makes all the decisions regarding us. We do not tell Him how to do HIS WORK! Look at vs. 21-24 – “Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump (Esau & Jacob were twins) to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew His wrath, and to make His power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction (of the darkness/NIGHT): And that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy (of the Light/DAY) which He had AFORE PREPARED UNTO GLORY, Even us, WHOM HE HATH CALLED, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?” Even vs. 28 fits our PP#9 – “For He will FINISH THE WORK, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.” Wow, this verse shows again how God looks at TIME! He calls this a SHORT WORK, yet it has been millennia upon millennia, generations after generations since the Genesis creation account. To God it is like yesterday, a watch in the night.

I’m sure you have all heard the admonition, “He that has an ear, let him hear.” What exactly do you think that means? Jesus used this phrase often, especially when teaching in parables. You will find it throughout the gospels (Matt. 11:15, Mark 4:9, Luke 8:8, to list a few). He explained to His disciples that this was basically by design. Only those meant to ‘hear’ would be given true understanding. Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me (John 10:27).” He was not only talking about His followers during His ministry on earth, but of all that would come to salvation from hearing the gospel and follow Him in the future. We know this from His explanation to His disciples about the Parable of the Sower (Matt. 13:37-43). I chose to use these particular verses because it is basically a picture of what the Lord revealed to me in Part Two. In this example, it talks about the ‘children of the wicked’ which are the tares (Night) and the ‘children of the kingdom’ which are the wheat from the GOOD SEED (DAY). Vs. 43 – “Then shall the righteous SHINE forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.” Does not that verse alone . . . if I did not give any other reference, prove that God indeed will have a people of His own, made in His image and likeness. The curse of sin is removed through the shed blood of His Son, Jesus Christ . . . The Light of Gen. 1:3.
In conclusion, I want to bring you back to the song I mentioned in my introduction. I want you to know that God has confirmed this was indeed more than His expression of love for me. He was telling me WHO HE SAYS THAT I AM! I am loved, I am strong, I am held, I am HIS! He wanted me to really listen to those lyrics and let them sink deep into the very depths of my soul until I believed them with every fiber of my being. Let me now testify to the world that I BELIEVE! Yes, I believe everything He says of me! The only thing that matters now is everything He thinks of me. In Him I find my worth. In Him I find my identity . . . I AM DAY! I am now taking all I have and laying it at His feet. He will have every failure and He will have every VICTORY. By giving me the clue of two tiny words, ‘You Say’, the Lord was telling me (as He told Jacob in Is. 43:1) . . . “Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”

Do you know who God says you are? Please examine the scriptures below and let them sink into your very soul. Ask yourself this question, ‘Am I DAY or am I Night?’ There is a difference you know. The expression ‘as different as Night & Day’ has a much deeper meaning to me after this study. If you have not come to this understanding, I pray this post will lead you to seek the answers you need from the Lord God Himself. He wants you to know. WISE MEN SEEK HIM TODAY! As long as there is TIME, and one breath left in you, it is not too late for you to accept HIS FINISHED WORK! It is not too late for you to come to the LIGHT!

Our God is so amazing! I awoke this morning with yet another song I have not heard in years, playing over and over in my mind. I believe it is His confirmation to me that what I am trying to share, He will bless and use for HIS GLORY. The title is ‘Heaven Came Down.’ That’s exactly what happened when ‘the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.’ It is His plan of salvation in a nutshell. It is what happened to me personally when I met Jesus as a little child . . .

“Heaven came down and GLORY filled my soul.
When at the cross the Savior made me whole.
My sins were washed away, my NIGHT was turned to DAY.

Heaven came down and GLORY filled my soul.”

Yours for the Harvest,
