Grievous Wolves for Teachers

‘Wolves… for teachers’,
now, on earth abound.
‘sacred mysteries of Heav’n’
turned for selfish
gain,
on Satan’s ground.

From behind pulpits
and glittered products
of packaged ‘play’,
to inside
infant schools,
and ivory towers,
they stand.
Grievous Wolves
of woven wile,
instructing all,
in inverted,
chaotic code
of old.

Should we be bemused,
at the burden
of the pain,
individuals,
and collective,
bear?

The despair,
accompanies a reduction,
now precisely made,
and distributed broad.

Unprecedented,
unrelenting wolf,
in every institution,
on every screen,
and wave
from air.
Ideally, for wolves
no single soul,
is aimed to spare.

Philosophy of Milton,
on the Wolves,
was always,
built on
solid ground,
biblical,
and predicted true.

The world’s a den,
of ravening beasts,
grievous wolves,
hungry to devour,
all ancient truths,
all essence pure,
to hollow and exploit,
declare their final death,
to desecrate all design
of God’s intent.

Yet, with Him,
that on Calvary’s cross
shed precious blood,
truth and purity,
still touch and change
human hearts and souls,
once worldly hard,
and hurt.

Continue to uplift,
soften toward the sacred
they always will,
despite the ravenous wolves,
heavy and unyielding,
on worldly ground,
with their destructive vril,
till end foretold.

‘For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.’ Acts 20:29 (KJV)

‘Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.’ Ezekiel 22:27. (KJV)

‘A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.’ Ezekiel 36:26 (KJV)

‘But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.’ 2 Peter 3:10 (KJV)

‘Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.’ Luke 21:36 (KJV)

“He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.” Matthew 13:11 (KJV)

‘Wolves shall succeed for teachers, grievous wolves,
Who all the sacred mysteries of Heav’n
To their own vile advantages shall turn
Of lucre and ambition, and the truth
With superstitions and traditions taint,
Left only in those written records pure,
Though not but by the Spirit understood,’ Book XII Paradise Lost, John Milton.

‘…Hail, Son of the Most High, heir of both
Worlds,
Queller of Satan! On thy glorious work
Now enter, and begin to save Mankind.”
from The Fourth Book of Paradise Regained, John Milton.
