GOD’S JUDGMENTS ARE UPON CANADA

February 23, 2022 7:20 PM
Margaret Blake

On the morning of February 22nd, 2022, the morning after the Members of Parliament in Canada voted YES to the enactment of the EMERGENCY MEASURES ACT, I sat before the Lord enquiring of Him about what was happening in Canada. How could this have happened? What about the word He had given me in early February stating He would deliver Canada from our enemies; from our tyrannical government and authorities.

This is the Lord’s answer to me…

“The majority of My people have not humbled themselves before Me in repentance for their sins and the sins of their nation Canada. Many do not consider their lifestyles. choices, and ways of living as sinful. Many of the church leaders in Canada do not teach on repentance and My judgments. The ignorance of My people will be their destruction.”

I continued to speak with the Lord and here is a summation of that conversation. Further down is a word from the Lord.

SUMMATION OF CONVERSATION GOD is expecting us to examine our lives according to His Word in order to determine where we are sinning and have sinned. We must repent of our known sin. We are to seek GOD’s assistant in this process; the Holy Spirit will guide us.

We are to repent for the sins of our nation; past and present; even those sins that are considered lawful by our governments and legislature. For example:

– abortion
– sexual sins
– sins concerning the education of children

GOD’S JUDGMENTS ARE UPON CANADA, but through sincere repentance GOD WILL FULFILL HIS PROMISE IN 1 Chronicles 7:14 to forgive our sins and heal our land. But it is conditional on IF we humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways and repent before GOD.

Do you have a contrite heart for your sins and your nation’s sins? Why stop there. What about the sins of the world? PLEASE seek the Lord and repent while there is still time.
Nothing is impossible for our GOD.

SHALOM.

HOSEA 4:6
“My people perish for lack of knowledge.”

1 JOHN 1:5-10
“Now this is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is
light, and there is absolutely no darkness in Him. 6 If we say, “We have
fellowship with Him,” yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not
practicing the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in
the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His
Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say, “We have no sin,” we are
deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness. 10 If we say, “We don’t have any sin,” we make Him a
liar, and His word is not in us.”

HEBREWS 10:26-31
26 For if we deliberately sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth,
there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a terrifying
expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire about to consume the
adversaries. 28 If anyone disregards Moses’ law, he dies without mercy,
based on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse
punishment do you think one will deserve who has trampled on the Son of
God, regarded as profane the blood of the covenant by which he was
sanctified, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know the One who
has said, Vengeance belongs to Me, I will repay, and again, The Lord will
judge His people. 31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of
the living God!

JONAH 3:1-9
1 Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time:
2 “Get up! Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach the message that I
tell you.”
3 So Jonah got up and went to Nineveh according to the Lord’s command.

Now Nineveh was an extremely large city, a three-day walk.
4 Jonah set out on the first day of his walk in the city and proclaimed,

“In 40 days Nineveh will be demolished!”

5 The men of Nineveh believed in God. They proclaimed a fast and dressed
in sackcloth—from the greatest of them to the least.

6 When word reached the king of Nineveh, he got up from his throne, took
off his royal robe, put on sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

7 Then he issued a decree in Nineveh:By order of the king and his nobles:

“No man or beast, herd or flock, is to taste anything at all. They must
not eat or drink water. 8 Furthermore, both man and beast must be covered
with sackcloth, and everyone must call out earnestly to God. Each must
turn from his evil ways and from the violence he is doing. 9 Who knows?
God may turn and relent; He may turn from His burning anger so that we
will not perish.”

JONAH 3:10
Then God saw their actions; that they had turned from their evil ways; so
God relented from the disaster He had threatened to do to them. And He did
not do it.

WORD FROM THE LORD

O CANADA…
Seek Me and live. Repent now. Your vindication and deliverance comes only upon the heels of your
repentance. Man’s heart is an exceedingly deceitful thing. Who can know it except the Holy Spirit who searches the depth of man’s heart.

I have promised to deliver you; to vindicate you, and to heal your land WHEN you humble yourselves and turn to Me with repentant hearts for your sins and the sins of your nation. But many of you have not. Your self-righteousness and pridefulness is an astounding thing.

The majority of you have not humbled themselves; have not turned to Me with contrite hearts for your sins and your nation’s sins. No, you have taken the messages and warnings from My Messengers and Watchmen and have either rejected them outright; selected what parts of their messages seemed palatable to you; or have assumed they were meant for others.

I tell you this… If it were not for the handful of My truly repentant children, your nation would already be completely turned over to the crushing mandates of your governments and law enforcement.

Know this… My judgments are upon your nation CANADA.

I say this to all My children… I AM your Savior! Not the truckers, nor any politician or world leader
that seeks your good. Why do you look to them?! They are a scattered lot without a head. Do they mean well? Many do. But many do not know Me; do
not seek My counsel. If you would look to Me, I would bring forth your victory and heal your land. I would choose a leader from among the people
of your nation, just as I chose David to be King over My people Israel.

Where is your church leadership? The majority of them have chosen to walk in obedience with your corrupt governments and authorities. They are not
about My Father’s business, but are about their own self-gain and government approval. I AM not with them. They are cowards who have chosen
the way of the enemy who has greased the wheels of their greed and vain-glory. Many are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They do not belong to Me.
They are not My sheep. They have aligned themselves with your corrupt and perverse government officials and authorities. Yes, I say perverse because I know what they do in the darkness of their lives. I know of their abominable practices. Your church leaders will answer to Me. Those whohave betrayed My people will not escape My Father’s wrath for having misled My people.

My people… do you think you can blame your leaders for being misled? I tell you, NO! You cannot. You will be held accountable for allowing
ourselves to being misled. Be warned. Unless you humble yourselves and repent you will not escape the rod of your enemy’s cruelty upon your backs.

My Word does not return to Me void. Those who know Me, know My Word, and I hear them.

I know your hearts. You are a fickle people; a people who cry out to Me to save you only when you see the whites of your enemy’s eyes. You do not cry out in repentance, with sorrowful hearts for your sins and the sins of your nation. Do you think you have My ear when you have rejected the many warnings from My Messengers and Watchmen? Do you think you have My ear
when you harbor ridicule and rejection of My messengers who have long warned of this coming time of calamity?

By rejecting My messengers, you have rejected Me. You will see My hand of protection upon My faithful ones. You will cry out in lamentation for your stiff-necked refusal to listen to their warnings and messages. I promised to heal your land; to deliver you from the tyranny of your leaders WHEN YOU HUMBLE YOURSELVES AND TURN TO ME WITH CONTRITE HEARTS. But many of you
have not. Instead, you took the last part of their messages of ‘My healing your land’, without your fulfilling the first part, TO HUMBLE YOURSELVES
AND REPENT AND TURN FROM YOUR WICKED WAYS.

The greater majority of My people have not turned to Me in prayer for My guidance. No. They have continued in their self-righteous ways and have
assumed the need to repent was meant for others. Hypocrites!

Do you know nothing about prophecy? Do you still not know Me?

I call into existence all things. Before they manifest I create them in Spirit. My Word is foundational to all that I say and do. I speak through My Messengers, My Watchmen, and My Prophets. They speak of the things to be and things that are. They are My voice. It is through them that I
reveal My plans, My messages and My warnings.

Foolish people! Many of you do not truly know Me because you do not listen to Me. You do not study My Word. You call Me… “Lord! Lord! But do not do
what I tell you to do.” If you listened to Me, if you read My Word, you would know to listen to My Messengers. You would seek Me for confirmation
of the messages they bring you. You would search My Word out for yourselves. But you do not. And so you will reap the judgments for your unrepentant hearts and willful ways.

Yet, I AM merciful and there is still time to humble yourselves and turn to Me. Now is the time to judge yourselves according to My Word. Seek Me
and receive My counsel. But be warned… this is no time to play games. I know your hearts. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the
living GOD.

SCRIPTURAL REFERENCE [Holman Bible]

GENESIS 1:26-31
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the
livestock, all the earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.”

27 So God created man in His own image;
He created him in the image of God;
He created them male and female.

28 God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky,
and every creature that crawls on the earth.” 29 God also said, “Look, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the surface of the entire earth and every tree whose fruit contains seed. This food will be for you, 30 for all the wildlife of the earth, for every bird of the sky, and for
every creature that crawls on the earth—everything having the breath of life in it. I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. 31 God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. Evening came and then morning: the sixth day.

GENESIS 2:1-3
So the heavens and the earth and everything in them were completed. 2 By the seventh day God completed His work that He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work that He had done. 3 God blessed the
seventh day and declared it holy, for on it He rested from His work of creation.

EXODUS 20:1-21

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

1 Then God spoke all these words:

2 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of
the place of slavery.

3 Do not have other gods besides Me.

4 Do not make an idol for yourself, whether in the shape of anything in
the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth.
5 You must not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God,
am a jealous God, punishing the children for the fathers’ sin, to the
third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing faithful
love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commands.

7 Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God, because the Lord will not
leave anyone unpunished who misuses His name.

8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy: 9 You are to labor six days
and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your
God. You must not do any work—you, your son or daughter, your male or
female slave, your livestock, or the foreigner who is within your gates.
11 For the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in
them in six days; then He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord
blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.

12 Honor your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in
the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

13 Do not murder.

14 Do not commit adultery.

15 Do not steal.

16 Do not give false testimony against your neighbor.

17 Do not covet your neighbor’s house. Do not covet your neighbor’s wife,
his male or female slave, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to
your neighbor.

THE PEOPLE’S REACTION
18 All the people witnessed the thunder and lightning, the sound of the
trumpet, and the mountain surrounded by smoke. When the people saw it they
trembled and stood at a distance. 19 “You speak to us, and we will
listen,” they said to Moses, “but don’t let God speak to us, or we will
die.”

20 Moses responded to the people, “Do not be afraid, for God has come to
test you, so that you will fear Him and will not sin.” 21 And the people
remained standing at a distance as Moses approached the thick darkness
where God was.

please note…
MOSES RECEIVED ADDITIONAL LAWS FROM GOD THAT ARE SUB-SECTIONS TO THE TEN
COMMANDMENTS. THEY GOVERN RIGHT LIVING IN THE SIGHT OF GOD.

MATTHEW 5:17-48

JESUS FULFILLS THE LAW
17 “Don’t assume that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not
come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For I assure you: Until heaven and
earth pass away, not the smallest letter or one stroke of a letter will
pass from the law until all things are accomplished. 19 Therefore, whoever
breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches people to do so will
be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever practices and
teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20
For I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes
and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

MURDER BEGINS IN THE HEART
21 “You have heard that it was said to our ancestors, Do not murder, and
whoever murders will be subject to judgment. 22 But I tell you, everyone
who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. And whoever
says to his brother, ‘Fool!’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But whoever
says, ‘You moron!’ will be subject to hellfire. 23 So if you are offering
your gift on the altar, and there you remember that your brother has
something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar.
First go and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your
gift. 25 Reach a settlement quickly with your adversary while you’re on
the way with him, or your adversary will hand you over to the judge, the
judge to the officer, and you will be thrown into prison. 26 I assure you:
You will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny!

ADULTERY IN THE HEART
27 “You have heard that it was said, Do not commit adultery. 28 But I tell
you, everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed
adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin,
gouge it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of the
parts of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And
if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it
is better that you lose one of the parts of your body than for your whole
body to go into hell!

DIVORCE PRACTICES CENSURED
31 “It was also said, Whoever divorces his wife must give her a written
notice of divorce. 32 But I tell you, everyone who divorces his wife,
except in a case of sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery. And
whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

TELL THE TRUTH
33 “Again, you have heard that it was said to our ancestors, You must not
break your oath, but you must keep your oaths to the Lord. 34 But I tell
you, don’t take an oath at all: either by heaven, because it is God’s
throne; 35 or by the earth, because it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem,
because it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither should you swear by
your head, because you cannot make a single hair white or black. 37 But
let your word ‘yes’ be ‘yes,’ and your ‘no’ be ‘no.’ Anything more than
this is from the evil one.

GO THE SECOND MILE
38 “You have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye and a tooth for a
tooth. 39 But I tell you, don’t resist an evildoer. On the contrary, if
anyone slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 As
for the one who wants to sue you and take away your shirt, let him have
your coat as well. 41 And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him
two. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and don’t turn away from the one who
wants to borrow from you.

LOVE YOUR ENEMIES
43 “You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your
enemy. 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who
persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. For He
causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the
righteous and the unrighteous. 46 For if you love those who love you, what
reward will you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if
you greet only your brothers, what are you doing out of the ordinary?
Don’t even the Gentiles do the same? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your
heavenly Father is perfect.

MATTHEW 18

WHO IS THE GREATEST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN?
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who is greatest in the
kingdom of heaven?”

2 Then He called a child to Him and had him stand among them. 3 “I assure
you,” He said, “unless you are converted and become like children, you
will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever humbles
himself like this child—this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoever welcomes one child like this in My name welcomes Me.

6 “But whoever causes the downfall of one of these little ones who believe
in Me—it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his
neck and he were drowned in the depths of the sea! 7 Woe to the world
because of offenses. For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom
the offense comes. 8 If your hand or your foot causes your downfall, cut
it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or
lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into the eternal
fire. 9 And if your eye causes your downfall, gouge it out and throw it
away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, rather than to have
two eyes and be thrown into hellfire!

THE PARABLE OF THE LOST SHEEP
10 “See that you don’t look down on one of these little ones, because I
tell you that in heaven their angels continually view the face of My
Father in heaven. [11 For the Son of Man has come to save the lost.] 12
What do you think? If a man has 100 sheep, and one of them goes astray,
won’t he leave the 99 on the hillside and go and search for the stray? 13
And if he finds it, I assure you: He rejoices over that sheep more than
over the 99 that did not go astray. 14 In the same way, it is not the will
of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones perish.

RESTORING A BROTHER
15 “If your brother sins against you, go and rebuke him in private. If he
listens to you, you have won your brother. 16 But if he won’t listen, take
one or two more with you, so that by the testimony of two or three
witnesses every fact may be established. 17 If he pays no attention to
them, tell the church. But if he doesn’t pay attention even to the church,
let him be like an unbeliever and a tax collector to you. 18 I assure you:
Whatever you bind on earth is already bound[n] in heaven, and whatever you
loose on earth is already loosed in heaven. 19 Again, I assure you: If two
of you on earth agree about any matter that you pray for, it will be done
for you by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered
together in My name, I am there among them.”

THE PARABLE OF THE UNFORGIVING SERVANT
21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how many times could my brother
sin against me and I forgive him? As many as seven times?”

22 “I tell you, not as many as seven,” Jesus said to him, “but 70 times
seven. 23 For this reason, the kingdom of heaven can be compared to a king
who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves. 24 When he began to settle
accounts, one who owed 10,000 talents was brought before him. 25 Since he
had no way to pay it back, his master commanded that he, his wife, his
children, and everything he had be sold to pay the debt.

26 “At this, the slave fell facedown before him and said, ‘Be patient with
me, and I will pay you everything!’ 27 Then the master of that slave had
compassion, released him, and forgave him the loan.

28 “But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed
him 100 denarii. He grabbed him, started choking him, and said, ‘Pay what
you owe!’

29 “At this, his fellow slave fell down and began begging him, ‘Be patient
with me, and I will pay you back.’ 30 But he wasn’t willing. On the
contrary, he went and threw him into prison until he could pay what was
owed. 31 When the other slaves saw what had taken place, they were deeply
distressed and went and reported to their master everything that had
happened.

32 “Then, after he had summoned him, his master said to him, ‘You wicked
slave! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Shouldn’t you
also have had mercy on your fellow slave, as I had mercy on you?’ 34 And
his master got angry and handed him over to the jailers to be tortured
until he could pay everything that was owed. 35 So My heavenly Father will
also do to you if each of you does not forgive his brother from his
heart.”

1 CORINTHIANS 6
If any of you has a legal dispute against another, do you dare go to court
before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2 Or don’t you know
that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you,
are you unworthy to judge the smallest cases? 3 Don’t you know that we
will judge angels—not to mention ordinary matters? 4 So if you have cases
pertaining to this life, do you select those who have no standing in the
church to judge? 5 I say this to your shame! Can it be that there is not
one wise person among you who is able to arbitrate between his brothers? 6
Instead, believer[c] goes to court against believer, and that before
unbelievers!

7 Therefore, to have legal disputes against one another is already a moral
failure for you. Why not rather put up with injustice? Why not rather be
cheated? 8 Instead, you act unjustly and cheat—and you do this to
believers! 9 Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s
kingdom? Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters,
adulterers, or anyone practicing homosexuality, 10 no thieves, greedy
people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit
God’s kingdom. 11 And some of you used to be like this. But you were
washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

GLORIFYING GOD IN BODY AND SPIRIT
12 “Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is helpful.
“Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be brought under the
control of anything. 13 “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food,”
but God will do away with both of them. The body is not for sexual
immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 God raised up
the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. 15 Don’t you know that
your bodies are a part of Christ’s body? So should I take a part of
Christ’s body and make it part of a prostitute? Absolutely not! 16 Don’t
you know that anyone joined to a prostitute is one body with her? For
Scripture says, The two will become one flesh. 17 But anyone joined to the
Lord is one spirit with Him.

18 Run from sexual immorality! “Every sin a person can commit is outside
the body.” On the contrary, the person who is sexually immoral sins
against his own body. 19 Don’t you know that your body is a sanctuary of
the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your
own, 20 for you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God in your
body.

PROVERBS 3:27-35

TREAT OTHERS FAIRLY
27 When it is in your power,
don’t withhold good from the one it belongs to.
28 Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go away! Come back later.
I’ll give it tomorrow”—when it is there with you.
29 Don’t plan any harm against your neighbor,
for he trusts you and lives near you.
30 Don’t accuse anyone without cause,
when he has done you no harm.
31 Don’t envy a violent man
or choose any of his ways;
32 for the devious are detestable to the Lord,
but He is a friend to the upright.
33 The Lord’s curse is on the household of the wicked,
but He blesses the home of the righteous;
34 He mocks those who mock,
but gives grace to the humble.
35 The wise will inherit honor,
but He holds up fools to dishonor.

2 CHRONICLES 7

THE DEDICATION CEREMONIES
When Solomon finished praying, fire descended from heaven and consumed the
burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the
temple. 2 The priests were not able to enter the Lord’s temple because the
glory of the Lord filled the temple of the Lord. 3 All the Israelites were
watching when the fire descended and the glory of the Lord came on the
temple. They bowed down on the pavement with their faces to the ground.
They worshiped and praised the Lord:

For He is good,
for His faithful love endures forever.

4 The king and all the people were offering sacrifices in the Lord’s
presence. 5 King Solomon offered a sacrifice of 22,000 cattle and 120,000
sheep. In this manner the king and all the people dedicated God’s temple.
6 The priests and the Levites were standing at their stations. The Levites
had the musical instruments of the Lord, which King David had made to
praise the Lord—“for His faithful love endures forever”—when he offered
praise with them. Across from the Levites, the priests were blowing
trumpets, and all the people were standing. 7 Since the bronze altar that
Solomon had made could not accommodate the burnt offering, the grain
offering, and the fat of the fellowship offerings, Solomon first
consecrated the middle of the courtyard that was in front of the Lord’s
temple and then offered the burnt offerings and the fat of the fellowship
offerings there.

8 So Solomon and all Israel with him—a very great assembly, from the
entrance to Hamath to the Brook of Egypt—observed the festival at that
time for seven days. 9 On the eighth day they held a sacred assembly, for
the dedication of the altar lasted seven days and the festival seven days.
10 On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to
their tents, rejoicing and with happy hearts for the goodness the Lord had
done for David, for Solomon, and for His people Israel.

11 So Solomon finished the Lord’s temple and the royal palace. Everything
that had entered Solomon’s heart to do for the Lord’s temple and for his
own palace succeeded.

THE LORD’S RESPONSE
12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon at night and said to him:

I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a temple
of sacrifice. 13 If I close the sky so there is no rain, or if I command
the grasshopper to consume the land, or if I send pestilence on My people,
14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and
seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven,
forgive their sin, and heal their land. 15 My eyes will now be open and My
ears attentive to prayer from this place. 16 And I have now chosen and
consecrated this temple so that My name may be there forever; My eyes and
My heart will be there at all times.

17 As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, doing
everything I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and
ordinances, 18 I will establish your royal throne, as I promised your
father David: You will never fail to have a man ruling in Israel.

19 However, if you turn away and abandon My statutes and My commands that
I have set before you and if you go and serve other gods and worship them,
20 then I will uproot Israel from the soil that I gave them, and this
temple that I have sanctified for My name I will banish from My presence;
I will make it an object of scorn and ridicule among all the peoples. 21
As for this temple, which was exalted, everyone who passes by will be
appalled and will say: Why did the Lord do this to this land and this
temple? 22 Then they will say: Because they abandoned the Lord God of
their ancestors who brought them out of the land of Egypt. They clung to
other gods and worshiped and served them. Because of this, He brought all
this ruin on them.”

LUKE 21

THE WIDOW’S GIFT
21 He looked up and saw the rich dropping their offerings into the temple
treasury. 2 He also saw a poor widow dropping in two tiny coins. 3 “I tell
you the truth,” He said. “This poor widow has put in more than all of
them. 4 For all these people have put in gifts out of their surplus, but
she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”

DESTRUCTION OF THE END OF THE AGE
5 As some were talking about the temple complex, how it was adorned with
beautiful stones and gifts dedicated to God, He said, 6 “These things that
you see—the days will come when not one stone will be left on another that
will not be thrown down!”

SIGNS OF THE END OF THE AGE
7 “Teacher,” they asked Him, “so when will these things be? And what will
be the sign when these things are about to take place?”

8 Then He said, “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come
in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Don’t follow them.
9 When you hear of wars and rebellions, don’t be alarmed. Indeed, these
things must take place first, but the end won’t come right away.”

10 Then He told them: “Nation will be raised up against nation, and
kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be violent earthquakes, and famines
and plagues in various places, and there will be terrifying sights and
great signs from heaven. 12 But before all these things, they will lay
their hands on you and persecute you. They will hand you over to the
synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors
because of My name. 13 It will lead to an opportunity for you to witness.
14 Therefore make up your minds not to prepare your defense ahead of time,
15 for I will give you such words and a wisdom that none of your
adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. 16 You will even be
betrayed by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will kill some
of you. 17 You will be hated by everyone because of My name, 18 but not a
hair of your head will be lost. 19 By your endurance gain your lives.

THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM
20 “When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that its
desolation has come near. 21 Then those in Judea must flee to the
mountains! Those inside the city must leave it, and those who are in the
country must not enter it, 22 because these are days of vengeance to
fulfill all the things that are written. 23 Woe to pregnant women and
nursing mothers in those days, for there will be great distress in the
land and wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the edge of the
sword and be led captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be
trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN
25 “Then there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and there will
be anguish on the earth among nations bewildered by the roaring sea and
waves. 26 People will faint from fear and expectation of the things that
are coming on the world, because the celestial powers will be shaken. 27
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great
glory. 28 But when these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up
your heads, because your redemption is near!”

THE PARABLE OF THE FIG TREE
29 Then He told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.
30 As soon as they put out leaves you can see for yourselves and recognize
that summer is already near. 31 In the same way, when you see these things
happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near. 32 I assure you:
This generation will certainly not pass away until all things take place.
33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

THE NEED FOR WATCHFULNESS
34 “Be on your guard, so that your minds are not dulled from carousing,
drunkenness, and worries of life, or that day will come on you
unexpectedly 35 like a trap. For it will come on all who live on the face
of the whole earth. 36 But be alert at all times, praying that you may
have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and
to stand before the Son of Man.”

37 During the day, He was teaching in the temple complex, but in the
evening He would go out and spend the night on what is called the Mount of
Olives. 38 Then all the people would come early in the morning to hear Him
in the temple complex.

REVELATION 18:4-5
“Come out of her, My people,
so that you will not share in her sins
or receive any of her plagues.
5 For her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.”
