Hello.
I feel called to share a simple insight I feel relates to what many others in the Family of God are also receiving right now. As Believers we know that we need to heed received warnings to gather and store physical food but we also need to gather and store God’s spiritual food for us.
On August 13th I visited a park by a lake with my children for a picnic. As some young ducks swam by, I tore off some bread to feed these ducks and threw it in the water. Immediately the ducks swam up and ate the bread, looking for more and at this same time my older son corrected me saying “If you feed the ducks they will end up starving”.
I was just given in that moment that what is known for the ducks can be forgotten for what it shows us. The food man gives like the bread scraps may appear easy but it is not the best food for us. It does not satisfy what is needed as we were created by God. It entices many though is not healthy and creates a dangerous dependence that leads to starvation.
God’s food He has for us on the other hand is perfectly nutritious, gives us all we need and was made lovingly for us.
