Fear has no place in the life of a Christian. Fear breeds doubt, which breeds anxiety, which breeds discontentment. Faith is the victory that will overcome the world, fear is the catalyst that will bring a nation to its knees. Creating hopelessness, panic, confusion and unrest, fear results in a people bereft of strength for the battle, endurance for the trial and neither stamina nor peace to stand in the midst of many varied and troubling storms. Do not assume I have come to bring peace to the earth, I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother…..Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but division.
Daily we are presented with yet one more opportunity to panic, worry, fret and fear. Threats of CoVID-19, ‘possible’ food shortages, locust…an outbreak here, another there, wars and rumors of wars, stock market up one day, down the next. Pestilence, plague, political and social unrest, sickness, death of family or friend, all give rise to fear. Millions would gladly accept the blessings of God, yet few want the testing of their faith to interfere with their plans for the future. Thinking they will escape all trials, tests and tribulation, life gets in the way, chaos ensues…their happy lives marred by discontentment and unrealistic expectations, blaming God they shut the door on faith and with a “well that didn’t work” attitude move on. Woe to the sinful nation, a people whose guilt is great, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their back on Him, still they expect favor, blessing and the goodness of a Great God to be poured out upon them.
You think you can play fast and loose with God and get a pass, a wink or a nod? You will not be spared testing, trial and much tribulation America for great is the sin of your nation. For this reason many among you are weak and sick and a number sleep. But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the LORD so that we will not be condemned along with the world. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline therefore be zealous and repent.
Albeit church, congress, campus or confessional…there is blood on your hands, hate in your heart and a scheming mind filled with cunning, guile and deceit. God will not be mocked, long have you mocked, scorned, ridiculed and ignored The King of kings and LORD of lords. You sit and malign your brother….you lie, you cheat, you murder… you have done these things, and I kept silent; you thought I was just like you. But I Myself will rebuke you and accuse you to your face. Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you to pieces with none to rescue you. Who will come to your aid in time of trouble; will the socialist, the communist, the abortionist, the atheist or the anti-Semite? Will Planned Parenthood, CAIR, the ACLU or LGBTQ mend the broken hearted or bind up their wounds? Will the One World Religion, Chrislam or the RCC speak truth to the lost and hurting? Will The Truth of The Word of God be told to those who have strayed, to those who are hurting, bruised and broken, or will the preaching of heresy, lies and apostacy continue deceiving millions, leading millions more into ecumenical error and eternal darkness?
