DREAM #2: Enlisting in the Army
In this dream, which was very long, my dad and I were walking towards a military camp. He was dressed in complete army uniform, and I was only dressed in casual military clothing, without the full combat gear. My dad was showing me around the Army base, and there were a lot of people in that large camp. In the dream, I had this strong feeling in me, that made me feel determined to go into this Army and enlist myself there.
In this dream, I knew that my dad had been serving in this camp some years before, and he was showing me around to see if I liked it. Even though he did not serve there anymore, he still had his uniform, and he was introducing me to his old friends and people he knew. I saw people whose ages ranged between 20 and 40 years old. I saw people of different nationalities. At one point my dad presented me to a friend of his, who was in his 40’s. He was a black American man and he had a very close friendship with my dad in this dream, since they were about the same age. I heard my dad talk to his friend of how I was very excited to join their Army, but I heard his friend say: “Well… I can see the determination in him, but he seems kind of weak. (I mean, he needs to have some tough skin to survive here).” When he said that, I understood it, but I wasn’t scared. In fact I raised my head and I felt so much determination and courage, and I proposed to myself that I was not going to fail.
Then, as my dad and I kept walking, he showed me another not-so-close friend of his. This friend was a Japanese guy in his late 20’s, and he was with a group of other Japanese young men in military uniforms. The Japanese guys was laughing with his other friends, making bad jokes, and I believe that I may have seen some of them smoking. I then got the feeling that not many people in this Army were taking their jobs SERIOUSLY. I saw many of these soldiers, especially the young ones, who were literally just hanging out everywhere and taking everything lightly.
The older folks were more concentrated in their duties, but still, some of them were also foolish. In this dream, I was the youngest one there. I knew that I had a greater risk of ending up in a state of slumber if I didn’t concentrate nor was jealous enough of my particular mission. But aside from all these distractions, I was determined not to fail, but to do my work right in the LORD’S eyes. That’s the end of the dream.
My thoughts on the dream:
When I think of the dream now, I feel that the Army being represented was God’s Spiritual Army around the world, i.e. the Body of Christ/the Church. In the dream, I was able to see many people in this Army who were in a slumber and were not taking ANYTHING SERIOUSLY! Very few people knew what their calling was and were ACTING UPON IT, trying to stay away as much as possible from everybody else’s distractions.
I strongly believe that this is a WAKE UP CALL for those who are in slumber in the Church today. When I use the word Church here, I am referring to all those individuals who seek the LORD JESUS CHRIST every day, repent daily, and are diligent and concentrated in the WORKS AND ASSIGNMENTS THAT GOD HAS GIVEN, both individually or collectively. I am not referring to the buildings which are falsely referred to as churches. Most of them are houses of deception and they are harboring secret sins too. In this dream, when I saw the people hanging around and joking everywhere, especially those who were making inappropriate jokes, I felt a sense of insecurity, as if we were in GRAVE DANGER AND VULNERABLE IF ENEMIES WERE TO ATTACK ALL OF A SUDDEN. I also got the feeling that if the Generals were to call for a formation or something like that, most of them would be so distracted that they would not hear the call on time, and some of them may even be TAKEN OUT FROM THE ARMY FOR NOT DOING THEIR DUTIES AS THEY SHOULD. Another strong impression I got was that those who were in distraction, WERE A MORTAL DANGER TO THOSE WHO WERE WORKING HARD TO DO THEIR JOBS RIGHT. Those who were diligent couldn’t ask for help from those who were foolish, otherwise, everyone’s work would fail. The wise ones could only ask their superiors for help. But the foolish soldiers who were slacking at their jobs had no idea that they could be FIRED BY THE GENERALS AND TAKEN OUT OF THE ARMY.
This reminds me of the Parable of the five wise and foolish virgins which Jesus spoke of in Matthew 25. I want to urge you guys to read the Parable, and also Matthew 24 which speaks of the End Times. The times we are living in today are not times to be joking around, being lazy, hanging out with “friends”, or anything that distracts us from the work that God wants us to do on this earth. Instead of doing those things, you should spend some time DAILY, and pray to God alone in your secret place. It doesn’t matter where it is, as long as you are alone and no one is bothering you, you can pray to God and speak with Him at any time, anywhere. Okay, now I’m gonna finish with some verses of Scripture where you can see what I am referring to here.
Isaiah 55: 6-7
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
