Acts 2:17 – Vivid Dream with Holy Spirit Confirmation

12/15/18 – I had an intense dream last night. It was vivid like real life and it was very short, but intense. I was in a house, it seemed like my house. I saw my door was open in the middle of the night. I quickly went to shut and lock the door in the dark, I don’t believe I was able to completely shut and lock the door. In a moment, a man began opening and pushing the door open. In a panic, I was not able to fight him off. He overpowered me, the door opened and he charged in, I stepped in the door opening to meet him head on and woke up suddenly.

I awoke suddenly with the adrenaline running high, the exact moment I awoke, I was immersed in the Holy Spirit, and felt tingles and love all over. I knew the Lord Jesus Christ was trying to tell me something.

This dream could be prophetic for the body of Christ at large, or for me in particular.

One possibility for the correct interpretation is that the Body of Christ is not watching diligently, being slack concerning protecting their house, or congregation, and not being vigilant or productive. It could mean many Christians and Pastors are not ready for what is coming and will be caught unaware:

Luke 12:37-40 KJV – Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. [38] And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. [39] And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. [40] Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

I believe the dinner that is spoken by Jesus in this parable is the Wedding Supper of the Lamb, that is alluded to in the Parable of the 10 Virgins. Meaning those who are waiting and watching will be taken up via the rapture, and those 5 unwise ones will be left behind. It seems the rapture will happen just before the rise of the Antichrist, who is represented by the “thief” in the above parable:

2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 KJV – That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. [3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come , except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; [4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Hi Shane, I believe Jesus is the one coming like a thief in the night to snatch us away. Some will resist him because they are not ready and watching! Bless you brother!

    • Yes I believe Jesus will snatch us away in an instant (1 These 4:16/1 Corinth 15), but I believe the AntiChrist will rise to power immediately afterwards and will captivate people with lying signs and wonders. They won’t know what hit them.

I’m pretty sure the falling away and the revealing of the Antichrist comes before the rapture I’m at work so I can’t reference my Bible but I’m pretty sure it’s in John Mark Luke so this isn’t coming from Christ

    • I don’t believe that is true, if you look at Revelation 3:10, it indicates the remnant is spared from the hour of trial. I also believe the AntiChrist will immediately begin persecuting Christians when he is in power (Revelation 13/Daniel 7) for 42 months in the first half of Daniel’s week, and I don’t believe the purified bride will need to endure that because we are already under a lot of persecution and attacks from the enemy. 1 Thessalonians 5 says we are not appointed to wrath.

Read Matthew 24:9 and the entire chapter. Let’s put away this American notion of a pre trib. Rapture once and for all. Rev 3:10 has nothing to do with the rapture of the church. It just is not there! Jesus spells out the events leading up to the rapture. It is so plain to see we will be purified and tested and must endure tribulation just like the rest of the world is already experiencing. Try to sell this false doctrine to the Christians in Syria and other persecuted countries where marytardom is an everyday occurrence. The American Christians are so deceived into believing it will not come to our shores. It is coming soon!

I had a similar dream about a year ago. In my dream, it was the middle of the night and someone was ringing the doorbell and trying to get inside my home. I looked through the peephole to see who it was and saw a terrifying man dressed in black, armed with guns and knives. Then I woke up, my heart still pounding. I asked God what the dream meant and received understanding that the man knocking behind the door was sin and that I should not open the door. Actually, I should be equally terrified of letting sin into my life as I was of that man.

God warned Cain: “Sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

I have also had a similar dream. In my dream I was on vacation with my family. They all wanted to do more sightseeing, but I was tired and told them I was going back to the hotel room for a nap. When I laid down and started to drift off to sleep, I heard the door open. I looked up, expecting to see my family, but saw no one but an open door. Then suddenly, the blankets on the bed were wrapped around my body, and I felt myself being drug off the bed. I woke up thrashing and screaming because I really thought I was being drug off the bed. It felt so very real.

sounds to me it might be call to prayer battle against intruding spirits attempting to break down our homes. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood…but powers of darkness ,isn’t that what the bible instructs its warriors? For greater is he that is in us than those who are in the world….

Hi Shane, I believe that all these dreams are similar.
This is what i believe to be the interpretation:
Doors represent “gateways” into our hearts and into our lives. A door being open means we are giving opportunity to the devil – Ephesians 4:27; and he will attack. A door being shut while we are inside means we are guarding our hearts diligently – Proverbs 4:23. The thief in this particular instance is the
enemy looking for opportunity to come into our lives to “steal, kill and destroy” – John 10:10.
    Blessings!
