Cultural Christianity Dream

Greetings! This week, I had a dream about cultural Christianity that I would like to share.

I dreamed that I was looking for a job, and someone told me to go work at a restaurant where they practiced “cultural Christianity.” I went, but before I left, I told them that I wasn’t really a fan of cultural Christianity. When I got there, I was speaking to a table with about twenty people seated at it. I said, “I can tell you all day that Jesus Christ is Lord and died for your sins, but that will not help you unless you decide to change how you live your life. We should be living as the apostles did — James, for example.”

Then the dreamed switched to a new scene. There was a lazy river behind the restaurant (in my dreams, rivers tend to represent life) and there was a young man who had a disability who could not navigate the river himself. So I carried him along the lazy river. I could hardly keep my own head above water to breath, and it was hard work, but it was worth it because the look of JOY on the young man’s face as he enjoyed the river was really something to see. The dream seemed to be emphasizing that our actions really do count, and we must be a servant to all.

Last night, I had another dream about life. This time, life was represented by a water park ride. I was flung onto the ride, and it was malfunctioning! I held on to my float very tightly as I spun through whirlpools, rapids, flew through the air and other wild things that this usually tame ride did not offer. I was not panicked, as were many of the people on the ride. I knew that if I just held on, that the ride would soon be over. I also knew that there was nothing I could do to ensure that I survived the ride or not — it was out of control, and the outcome was in God’s hands. I just hung on tight, and the ride ended and I was fine.

I think that one is likely referring to the wild ride that we are all going to be in for soon! No fear, just hang on and trust God! Blessings!
