Batten Down the Hatches!

All day yesterday I received the phrase “batten down the hatches”. Usually I will receive a title like that, then a second line right away but this delayed, then I have to write and the poem just flows. I received the second line last night at bedtime and wrote a poem. I am not a prophet but fervently listen to them. Today is 11-11, Veterans Day, 30,000 of them will be marching in New York and Donald Trump will be the first President to attend. It is the 100th anniversary of this parade. Here is the poem. Please, I love you all, no matter what, if nothing happens for a long time, it is good to have battens for your hatches!

Batten Down the Hatches!

Lord, You keep telling me,
Batten down the hatches!
A storm is coming soon.
Make certain you have prepared
A hiding room.
I will tell you when to go,
Do not tarry, do not swoon.
You are about to witness
The monsoon of all monsoons!
Lord, is this for real?
We have waited for so long!
Yes, it is for real,
Sooner than you think.
You see what is happening?
Trump is standing out,
Leading a parade
And he has no doubt
Nothing can touch him,
No one can get him,
He is not reading
The writing on the wall.
Leaders hate him,
He is going insane,
World War III is calling his name.
Tomorrow is Veterans Day,
What can I say?
How many has he killed?
Young men, scared men,
Their nation to defend?
But they do not defend the nation,
They are sent to foreign wars
Where they are trespassing
Where they do not belong.
It is not their fault,
They are doing what they are told
That is their duty,
But as a soldier they were sold
A rotten bill of goods
For the job forces them to kill,
Which, as We know, is a sin.
Batten down the hatches,
The storm is going to hit,
It will overwhelm you
If you are not prepared for it,
And you are not.
There is Only One who is,
Jesus.
Get with Him!
Remember how He slept
In the boat in the storm?
His apostles all panicking
Until He awoke
And rebuked the storm
And it stopped?
His apostles stopped doubting,
Why, this Man can calm a storm!
Is He Who He says He is?
Well, He is.
And He can start one, too.
Batten down the hatches
And pray your way through!!!

Luke 8:22-25 KJV
Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. [23] But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. [24] And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. [25] And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
