BACK TO THE BASICS

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
When something breaks down such as a car, lawnmower, or a type of appliance, we have to go back to its manual, to its beginning. So ironically is the church today, the church has been broken for a long time. But instead of going back to the beginning or back to the basics, its implemented the world to fix its problem. “Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed to the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2). They have brought in integrated ideas from the world to impress people, or to have bigger congregations to elevate their own egos to a false success. Examples of these are bringing rock concerts in a form of loud music, smoke, lighting, and dark arenas projecting a lit stage. All kinds of ministry to choose from, to fatten the many desires of its flock.
Coffee, and cell phones line the pews instead Bibles and Hymnals. Following the pastor, on apps. on your cell phone, so easy to stray away, on Facebook, or texting. The tear soaked alters are a thing of the past, to make room for the lighting of a pedestal pastor, and a rock band worship team.
Oh, how I long for the pastor, that spends hours into the night praying that his sermon, is what God wants him to deliver, a evangelist that doesn’t candy coat sin, so that the Holy Spirit can convict. A church that doesn’t worry having their tax advantage taken from them for preaching the word of God. A church who lets God have His agenda, and not theirs. A church that prays until something happens, and not have to stop because of NFL football. You have a form of godliness, but you deny the power thereof (2 Timothy 3:5).
Oh, how I yearn for a group of people who live is Christ, and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21). A people, who overcome satan, by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and love not their life until the death (Revelation 12:11).
Churches, to be successful in God’s eyes, go back to the basics, take up His manual the living word of God. I guarantee it will fix what you’ve broken.

Church, if we were the church that God ordained us to be, this nation would have not shut our doors, they would be breaking them down, to find the hope in which we have. Mathew 7:24-27.
