In the last several days while in fasting and prayer, as we were in the middle of the Ten Days of Awe, a spirit of travail came upon me at various times during the day and night. It has not been as intense as in times past, but it was very persistent nevertheless. I have been feeling lately as if something big is about to happen that will cause a great shaking and bring fear into the hearts of people. Evil and wickedness are rising everywhere now, even among those who call themselves Christians. This is vexing my spirit to the point that it is now becoming increasingly difficult for me to enjoy even the simple pleasures of life.
I mentioned recently in one of our newsletters that during the Ten Days of Awe, all believers needed to take the opportunity to examine themselves, repent and make things right with the LORD. I also said that according to ancient Jewish teachings, this was a time when individual verdicts were going to be determined in the Heavenly Council based on the attitude of people towards their wrongful acts, and their attempts to repent and rectify wrongful things that they had said and done, as well as apply changes to their lives in order to bring about the desired results.
I went on to exhort God’s people that this season presented an opportunity for everyone to avert the Heavenly Council from issuing a severe decree against them by taking the time to repent, pray and do acts of charity. A proper repentance includes a change of mind, a feeling of regret and the willingness to change and make reparations for their misdeeds. As I was considering all of these things late in the evening, I quietly prayed to my Heavenly Father and went to bed. In the middle of the night I had a dream.
“I found myself in the middle of a Church meeting. There were many people in attendance. Some were singing, others were giving words of comfort, declarations and some were giving their testimony. I had my hand raised all the time but the pastor of the church would not aknowledge me. I was left for last. At the end when everyone had finished sharing what was on their heart, finally the minister looked at me and nodded as if to let me know that it was now my time to speak up and share what was on my heart.
As I stood up to speak I noticed that many of the people that were there were not paying attention, as they were busy talking with those around them, laughing and hugging everyone else. I pressed ahead and spoke up in a loud voice that seemed to be coming from deep within me. It was not my voice, and it was not me who was speaking but the LORD speaking through me. As I opened my mouth to speak, these are the words that came out from my belly:
“GET READY TO BE TESTED AND STAND IN THE FAITH; AS YOU ENDURE THE TESTING, REMAIN IN CHRIST JESUS! “
Then I was suddenly awakened from the dream; I wrote down fast on my notebook what I had seen and heard before I would forget.
INTERPRETATION:
There is a great shaking coming that will shake every Christian believer to their foundations. This shaking will test the faith of everyone who call themselves by the name of Christ. It will serve a higher purpose in God, as the testing goes forth to purge His garner and separate the wheat from the tares. Many in the ministry will fall because they have not made their calling and election sure. They have not taken the time to strengthen their foundations as they endeavored to work in the Kingdom. Others have neglected their first love, and began to drink dirty water from cisterns that can hold no water, while many others have completely turned their backs on Jesus Christ pursuing their own worldly lustful lifestyles.
The behavior of the pastor in the dream as well as the people in the meeting reflects pretty much what is going on today in mainstream Christian Churches in America. The vast majority of pastors do not want to hear anything remotely negative as it would impact the members who might get spooked and leave the church. Also, the vast majority of believers attending Christian Churches in America do not want to hear anything that might trigger conviction in them and cause them to have to repent. Christianity in America and most of the western world has become an entertainment industry with a Christian flavor where only seeker friendly messages are preached. Thus, my ministry is a threat to the status quo church.
There are some things that will soon begin to take place in the world where many people will be tested. These things have to take place, but they will all play a role in God’s redemptive purposes. The dream was a warning to all believers to be ready to endure this testing in the days ahead and stand in the faith whenever it happens, no matter how fearful and difficult the situation may become. Some will not endure the times of testing just ahead even as our Master taught in the parable of the sower. However, those who do will shine as the stars of heaven and will be used by the Almighty to lead many to salvation. He that has an ear to hear, let him hear. Selah.
1 Peter 4:12-13 “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to test you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, since you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.”
1 Peter 1:7 “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”
Ephesians 6:11-13 “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places. Therefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
