” Soon My son, I will shake everything. Then where shall you find tall buildings. You will see dead bodies lying all over. The crying of people will become common. Soon, these days are going to come.”
I will shake
whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.”
Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
For our God [is] a consuming fire.
Shall you find tall buildings
There will be on every high mountain And on every high hill Rivers [and] streams of waters, In the day of the great slaughter, When the towers fall.
Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.
Dead bodies lying all over
Speak, “Thus says the LORD: ‘Even the carcasses of men shall fall as refuse on the open field, Like cuttings after the harvester, And no one shall gather [them.’] ”
In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Crying of people
A voice of crying [shall be] from Horonaim: ‘Plundering and great destruction!’
“Moab is destroyed; Her little ones have caused a cry to be heard;
[There is] the sound of wailing shepherds! For their glory is in ruins. [There is] the sound of roaring lions! For the pride of the Jordan is in ruins.
