You Must Cross Over!

OCTOBER 22, 2021

While in prayer the morning of October 12, 2021, the Lord said,

“You must cross over!”

I knew He was referring to The Narrow Gate, where His Remnant are gathering now; and how entering through that gate will require a step of faith for His people.  But He began to show there’s much more; the Lord wants us to understand where we are in the spiritual realm of things.

He’d told me the previous week, “This is the second exodus.”  But He immediately made clear, we have already been led through the Red Sea.  That’s not where we are.

Just as the church wandered through the wilderness in Moses’ day, so have we during this New Testament period.  But now the Lord has a people, His Remnant, gathered at the narrow gate, just this side of the Jordan.

When the Israelites were at this juncture, God told them to prepare to cross over.  He told them to prepare supplies, to get their houses in order, that within 3 days they were going to cross over the Jordan, to go in to the land which the LORD their God was giving them to possess (Joshua 1:10-11).  They knew when they crossed over, they would be in enemy territory, so they had to follow His instructions to the tee.

But look at what happened when the Israelites took that first step to go across.  As soon as the toes of the priests touched the water – at that very first step – God parted the waters of the Jordan and they went over on dry ground!

Once they took that step and crossed over to the other side, you know they must have been totally overjoyed – maybe even shouting out, “Let’s go, God!  We’re ready!”  But God had two additional steps in their preparation before they were ready to face the enemy.

He told them they must be circumcised.  God humbled them, allowing them to feel their own weakness; having to lay low until they were all healed up.

They also kept the Passover before engaging their enemies.  What a reminder of how it all began; it was only by the blood of the lamb covering their houses that they were spared from the death angel.

After being reminded it wasn’t by their hand, or their strength, they had made it thus far, but only by the power and mercy of God, they were finally ready to follow Him into battle.

Saints, this is where we are.  We’ve left the wide path of this world and are now gathering before the narrow gate this side of the Jordan.  God’s telling us to prepare to cross over, to fix our eyes totally upon Him, that we may know the way to go; because we have not passed this way before.  This will be a total walk of faith.

So, how do we prepare?

Jesus gave the perfect example when He told His disciples “Let’s cross over to the other side.” In Luke 8:22, Jesus was so at peace, the storm that came upon them didn’t even rouse Him.

His focus was NOT on THE STORM.  If we are to stay in the perfect peace of God, neither can ours be.  We must divert our eyes away from the swirling storms around us, as it’s the only way we can walk on the turbulent sea.  It was only when Peter took his eyes off Jesus that he began to sink.

The word says, “You will keep in perfect peace, he whose mind is stayed on you…”  (Isa. 26:3)

Put on the full armor of God (Eph 6).  Be clothed with Jesus.  Every piece of this armor will remind you of the fact it has everything to do with being clothed, or hidden – in Him.

Seek God for your specific instructions on a daily, hour by hour, minute by minute, basis.  Jesus said His sheep hear His voice and will not follow the voice of another.

Saints, the Lord’s repeatedly shown me a time just ahead, where the worldwide pressure and persecution against the saints becomes so intense, that we come together in the Spirit in ONE ACCORD as they did in Acts 4:29-31, crying out to the Lord,

“Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”   They needed the POWER of God to hit the house!

God answered them by shaking the entire place in which they were gathered – and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit!

This will be the time of us crossing over, Saints!  When we finally all come together in the Spirit – of one accord – worldwide.  This will be the time we collectively come before Him, READY TO DO HIS WILL, crying out just as they did to BOLDLY speak His word, asking Him to stretch out His hand to heal, and that signs be done through the name of Jesus!  As this step of faith is taken, He will open the narrow gate and take us across to the other side.  Once across, the Lord will then finish His work in us.

The Israelites had to carry out the physical act of circumcising their flesh and offering the blood of lambs; but His Remnant will be circumcised with the circumcision made without hands – the circumcision of Christ.  A new heart will be given, and His Spirit without measure placed within.  Clothed with the blood-stained Victory Banner of Jesus Himself, they will finally be ready to face the enemy!

When this transformation is complete, His Remnant will be sent forth to carry out His instructions!  God’s army will be sent into the spiritual camp of the enemy – the place of true warfare.  These Instruments of His Righteousness will be used to set captives free, and bring in the greatest harvest to ever hit the planet!

Saints, the Lord’s telling His people it’s time. He’s saying,

“Prepare to cross over!”

Please seek Him in how this applies to you personally.
