Thus says the Word of God/YHWH
‘For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’

When we as Christians think of blood atonement our mind races to the cross, as it should. But there’s so much wisdom we need to glean from this event. Something that always puzzled me was why did they have to beat Jesus so badly. As I thought about this I decided to ask the Lord. After all He was the one that experienced it.

Physically
Mankind inhabits flesh which serves as a barrier between God and mankind because we sinned against God. God can’t dwell with evil so He had to cast mankind from His presence. Jesus, The Son of God, came to dwell among men in the flesh. The beating before the crucifixion of Jesus took place to open the barrier of flesh. Flesh is alive, but only when blood circulates through it. Once the flesh was opened from the crown of thorns and the beating, blood gushed forth and life began to leave His fleshly body. From the cross His flesh was pierced with nails and a spear. Please comprehend this important information – Jesus was completely covered in blood, from the top of His head to the soles of His feet. The blood also spilled on the ground at the foot of the cross.

Spiritual wisdom
Blood is the life of mankind’s flesh. Jesus is living water that flows abundantly providing eternal life for His followers. Our relationship with God was restored by covering our sins with the blood of Jesus. The flesh had to be covered completely, 100%, to satisfy the terms of the contract the enemy held on you and me. Lucifer has a long memory and is a stickler for details. To ensure the curse from the Garden of Eden was completely cancelled, the blood of Jesus also fell to the earth at the foot of the cross, totally revoking any power or authority the enemy held over mankind or the earth. God didn’t just pay the price, He also made a way for mankind to once again commune with Him. The barrier of flesh is the enemy of God because it separates us from God. The barrier had to be broken so the Holy Spirit could dwell in mankind until the time Jesus returns to take us back into the presence of God. When the veil in the temple separating the Holy of Holies was torn from top to bottom this signified to all mankind that God had opened the barrier that kept us from communing with Him. Our High Priest made the final reconciling sacrifice for the children of God/YHWH once and for all, sprinkling blood on the horns of the altar. The Holy Spirit filled God’s followers at Pentecost and continues to do so today for those willing to accept Him as King.

When celebrating the fall feasts remember – without the crucifixion we would not be able to celebrate the blood atonement which covers our sins eternally, or the coming of our King who provides the promise of tabernacling with Him eternally. Honor the sacrifice Jesus/ Yeshua made on behalf of His creation to restore the broken relationship. Confess your sins before Jesus/ Yeshua our intercessor. Have the sins covered in the blood of atonement to present faultless before God/YHWH and have eternal communion with God/YHWH, our High Priest Jesus/ Yeshua, and our comforter the Holy Spirit.

May your eyes be opened to see the truth that will richly bless you during all the sacred Feasts of God/YHWH.
