Word: For You Cannot Serve Two Masters! – Humbled for Service

I exalt our Lord and King, Yeshua ha’ Mashiach, the One who formed us in our mother’s wombs, and yet paid the ransom price for our redemption from the bondage of sin and death. Glory to God in the highest!

The Lord has been stirring this word within me for the last two days and I believe that it is an important message to the body of Christ at this time. I received this Word in mid-2015 (July or August). After night prayers, the Lord spoke audibly into my spirit and said,

“There is no greater work that we can do for the Lord, than to stop sinning and to let go of money”.

The scripture that was given was “You cannot serve two masters. For you will love one and hate the other, or you will be loyal to one and despise the other.” (Matthew 6:24 / Luke 16:13)

Relevant Scriptures:

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

Matthew 22:18-22 “But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test Me, you hypocrites? Show Me the tax money.” So they brought Him a denarius. And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.” And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s.” When they heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way.”

1 Timothy 6:8-12 “And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

Revelation 3:15-17 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, will I vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say “I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing” – and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked – …”

Brethren, the battle lines are now been drawn and we must now take a stand and choose whom to serve today, God or mammon!

Be encouraged!

Many blessings!

Your brother in Christ, William
