WISDOM FOR THE JOURNEY
Our walk with the Lord is a spiritual journey. Every one of us will encounter good times as well as bad times. Every one of us has a story to be told that will also set others free. As Christians, the way that we respond to difficult situations determines our destiny. Joseph experienced constant betrayal. His brothers threw him in a pit and then sold him as a slave. He was then thrown in a prison wrongfully, but through it all he never sinned and never lost his focus because he had a dream and was determined to see it fulfilled.
Psalms 105:19 says concerning Joseph, the time that his word came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him. Pharaoh gave Joseph his signet ring as well as authority over all of Egypt because the Lord gave Joseph favor for his obedience. It was all in preparation of Gods plan which was not only for Joseph but for his family and the nation of Israel. Some of you are ready to throw in the towel but the Lord wants you to rise up and shake off the despair. Every man and women of God who were used mightily endured hardships.
The Lord says as you continue on this journey, throw off the weights that would slow you down. Discard of anything that would hinder you from advancing. Don’t carry any baggage from the past and don’t look back as this will slow down your pace. As you leave the past behind, your mistakes of the past will not cancel out My plans for your future. Forgive those who hurt you and release those who were malicious. I will bring restoration and I will lead you back in the right direction if you have gone astray.
Don’t allow worries to dominate your thoughts. As you come into alignment with My will you will be able to receive clear instructions. Don’t entertain thoughts that bring fear and confusion. Stay focused and be careful not to allow anything to impair your vision and obstruct your focus. I have created you and called you by name, therefore I will give you the strength and endurance for the journey ahead.
Seek Me for the wisdom which is required for this journey. Seek Me for My wisdom which your natural mind can not comprehend or discern. My wisdom will lead you in the right direction and place you on the right path. As you seek Me for wisdom and guidance, I will lead you with compassion and guide you in peace through this journey. Never lose focus of the dream that I have placed on the inside of you. Allow Me to take residence in every area of your life as you walk with Me in this Covenant that I have provided for you. You will then be able to rest in the assurance knowing that I will truly watch over My Word to perform it says the Lord.
