14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. Ephesians 5

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 2 Peter 3

“This will all come to an end. But know that this is just a preparation for what lies ahead. For then when those days come, will you be ready? For many of you have doubted whether I would ever return. Many of you have wondered, and you have scoffed because you have said, ‘Where is the sign of His return—when will He return?’ But then on that day you will look upon Him whom you have pierced. For then it will be too late. But I say now, ‘Sleeper awake; awake from your slumber. For the night will soon end, and then on that day I will come; but will I find you ready? Will I find you ready when I come? For truly, there are many things ahead. Truly there are many more battles to be fought, but will you be dressed for the battle?

In the great arena there are soldiers that are fighting, and they are equipped in battle gear–and yet their swords and their shields have become rusty. They look up onto the heavens and they look for a sign. They look for a break in the clouds. They look for a ray of sunshine, but now behold, the sky is still dark. I tell you that the war is not over yet, but it is high time that you prepared for it more.

Now is the time to arm yourselves with endurance. For this is not a short race; it is a marathon. Now is the time for great discipline. Now is the time to seek Me; for I await your time with Me. ”

“ Then the LORD said to me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said, “Figs, the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad.”

“ And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.”

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”

“ I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

“ A half truth is a whole lie.”
