Parallels between Jesus and the Witnesses:

1. Jesus was born on the earth as a human being. He grew up in stature and in the wisdom of Father. For a good portion of His life He lived a normal life. But it wasn’t until at the age of 30, that He began His ministry as a Prophet and as the Son of God.

The Witnesses have also been born, grown up in stature and in the wisdom of the Lord. Soon, they will come out of their hiding places and begin their ministries as Prophets and Sons of God (More details on this has been shared in Parts 1&2).

2. Jesus was not recognized by those close to Him.

Matt.13:54-56 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

The Witnesses’ own family members do not understand the calling on their lives as they are filled with unbelief.

Matt.10:36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

3. At the start of Jesus’ ministry, the Holy Spirit came upon Him.

Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

The Witnesses will also begin their ministry after they receive the latter rain of the Holy Spirit and be filled with power from on high.

Rev.11:3 And I will give POWER unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive POWER, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be WITNESSES unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

4. Jesus performed many miracles and taught the multitudes.

The Witnesses will go out to do mighty exploits, even greater than those performed by Jesus.

Rev.11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

Dan. 11:32b) but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

5. Jesus was called Beelzebub.

Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

The Witnesses also will be accused of the same.
John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

6. Jesus was hated by the world and warned that we will receive the same treatment.

John 15:18-19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

The Witnesses will be greatly hated to the point they’ll be denied proper burial.

Rev.11:9-10a) And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another.

7. Jesus obeyed Father even unto death.

Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
The Witnesses will also lay their lives down in obedience to Father.

Rev.11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8. During Jesus’ time, Satan entered into Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus.

Luk.22:3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
During the time of the Witnesses, Satan will empower the Antichrist who will overcome them and kill them.

Rev.13:2b) and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

9. Jesus resurrected.

1 Cor. 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

The Witnesses will also come back to life.

Rev.11:11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.10. Jesus ascended while his disciples looked on.

Acts 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

The Witnesses will ascend in a cloud.

Rev. 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
