INTRODUCTION:

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I bring you some very exciting revelations I have received from the Holy Spirit pertaining to the 2 witnesses in Rev. 11. But before I get into it, I must build the foundation to this word.

Ezek.37:19-22 say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “Behold, I am going to take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will put them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand.”’ 20 The sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes. 21 And say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “Behold, I am going to take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; 22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king will be king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations, and no longer be divided into two kingdoms.

Rom.11:7, 11, 25b) What then? What Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened; 11 I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? Far from it! But by their wrongdoing salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous. 25b) A partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Rom. 11 tells us about a hardening that has occurred on behalf of the Jews in order for salvation to be extended to the Gentiles. When a ‘Gentile’ is saved by the blood of Jesus, they become part of the seed of Abraham and heirs according to the promise. They become grafted branches into one identity which is Israel. Hence why Rom.11:26 says, ‘and so all Israel will be saved’. When the Lord talks about the re-gathering of Israel in His Word, He is not referring to the political state of Israel, but rather to HIS people- those who have believed in Him. When this re-gathering occurs, the Bible says that He will be our God and we will be His people.

Gen.12:2-3 [the Lord’s promise to Abraham] And I will make you into a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing; 3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. AND IN YOU ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH WILL BE BLESSED.”

Gal. 3:6-8, 26-29 Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. 7 Therefore, recognize that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. 8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “All the nations will be blessed in you.” 26 For you are all sons and daughters of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.

Deut. 7:6-9 For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His personal possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. 7 “The Lord did not make you His beloved nor choose you because you were greater in number than any of the peoples, since you were the fewest of all peoples, 8 but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who love Him and keep His commandments.

Father has chosen himself a people -the Israelites- to be His people and Him to be their God. But time and time again the Israelites proved themselves to be disobedient and rebellious towards Father. So, Father decided to send Jesus as the ultimate test to see if they would recognize Him as their Messiah but they did not. Remember Jesus told his desciples in Matt.10:5-6 not to go to the Gentiles but to go to the lost sheep of Israel. That was before Acts 1:4, 8 when Jesus said to wait for the promise of the Holy Spirit and they were commissioned to go out to the whole world and preach the Gospel to all nations. All the Gentiles who have believed and will believe represent those who have been and will be grafted as explained in Rom.11.

Hos.1:10 Yet the number of the sons of Israel Will be like the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or counted; And in the place Where it is said to them, “You are not My people,” It will be said to them, “You are the sons of the living God.”

Hosea’s daugher was named Lo-Ruhamah, which means ‘not loved’. She represented Father’s heartbreak toward adulterous Israel. Yet, in Hos.1:7 we read, ‘But I will take pity on the house of Judah and SAVE THEM BY THE LORD THEIR GOD, and will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.’ This salvation and reconciliation has come to us through Jesus’ precious blood shed on the cross.

So, who are the 2 witnesses?

Through the study of Scriptures and with the assistance of the Holy Spirit I have learned that the 2 witnesses will not necessarily be 2 individuals but rather a combination of Jews and Gentile believers – a portion of those who are walking in full obedience to Father’s covenant and have been chosen for the purpose of carrying out the task described in Revelation 11. That is, to prophecy for 1260 days while performing all sorts of miracles, sending all sorts of plagues and eventually lay their lives down only to be resurrected by the power of the Living God.

Stay tuned for Part 2.
