When The Earth Sinks

On 9/6/26 at 10:35am, I received a vision of huge sinkholes opening up all over the earth.

I then immediately received the following word from the Lord:

The earth will swallow up her inhabitants. When the earth sinks and many ask why, know that it is I. Because the salt of the world is losing its savor, the world is sinking into a void of sin. As salt diminishes in its strength, the land will then cave in.

Insights:

This message from the Lord reflects a physical manifestation in the world due to the spiritual decay of the church. It brings to mind The Laodicean Church depicted in the Book of Revelation of the Bible. The body of Christ is depicted as salt in the scriptures. When it loses its savor, or its value, it is then no longer effective at stemming the tide of evil, the evils of sin.

Matthew 5:13: Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

This verse is striking in the fact that it depicts salt trodden under foot. A foot that treads upon land where land can then cave in.

This is not to say that there are no longer righteous believers in Christ Jesus. But, it does reflect an age where there will be so few in number that their righteousness will no longer affect evil on a broad scale in the world.

Matthew 7:13-14: 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Brave Overview defines a sinkhole as the following:

“A sinkhole is a depression or hole in the ground caused by the collapse of the surface layer into underlying voids.  These features are most common in karst terrain, where soluble bedrock such as limestone, dolomite, gypsum, or salt is naturally dissolved by circulating groundwater.”

Amazingly, you will find salt in this definition. It is no surprise and could be depicted in this way:

Groundwater (sin) dissolves the salt (the body of Christ) and other components. This then results in the surface layer (strength of the Church) collapsing into a sinkhole.

It is a vivid and striking picture of how sin affects the Church, and ultimately how sin affects the land.

Leviticus 18:25: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

Numbers 16:32: And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.

Numbers 26:10: And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.

Isaiah 24:17-23: 17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. 18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. 19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. 21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall be visited. 23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

Psalm 46:1-11: 1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. 4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. 6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. 7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. 8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. 9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. 10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
