Jeremiah 17:9-10 KJV The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? [10] I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. James 1:27 KJV Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. 1 Peter 4:10 KJV As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. John 13:14 KJV If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

Dear Siblings in Christ,
I had just finished watching a documentary on Finland’s efforts to provide homes for the homeless and the progress it has brought to the community (Helsinki) and to the nation. Through a multipronged approach the community allows those who have substance abuse issues tackle it with great success because the individual is not “needing to escape reality” in in it’s place is safety. Others due to health issues (physical or mental) support has also been quite successful. Some key statements stood out to me. One, the key message from the employees in these facilities, is that they are being guided by principle of respect and compassion for each individual they serve. That these people have value and deserve their basic needs to be met. The link for this video is at the bottom.
I reflected on my own homelessness decades ago, as I hid from the I l lum in naughty’s persistent attempts to murder me, when I escaped. I slept on a cement floor for months, another place I shared a “bedroom” with 21 other women, and slept in my car (when I had access to it). I was thanking the Lord for giving me a home despite facing these issues.
Immediately, the next documentary (posted by the you tube channel -“Invisible People”) began to play. The Holy Spirit reminded me of the multiple messages, He has spoken through me, that soon people in the United States will be disappearing in large numbers. He told me that the “disposal” of people has begun with this winter in great numbers, among those targeted, the homeless is at the top of the list. I felt like I had been punched in the stomach. With the change in laws in many states banning “camping” in public places, the state I am in passed a state-wide law ban as of October 1, 2024, this is what the Holy Spirit said is phase 1. Out of sight, out of mind is a critical component -once these people gather in the woods or other areas with little traffic or public view, it will make it that much easier to unalive them (a euphemism now popular to escape censorship on social media platforms). Things will get even worse as these folks have to hide in areas that are unsafe and do not provide easy access to food (via trash cans, dumpster diving (by the way, you can find things that are still edible if it behind a grocery store or restaurant)) or fresh water (public bathrooms to keep clean) and no access to charge cellphones – their only way to connect to family or potential employers. These people will be at greater risk of hunger and exposure. So when they go to “shelters” during snow storms or hurricanes, they may never return.
Pray God to change your heart about this. Few people realize how close they are to having the “perfect storm” that could cause them to be without shelter. It is time to demand that the homeless people get their basic needs met. Last year, the Supreme Court found in favor of the City of Grants Pass against Johnson. It allows cities to criminalize those camping in public places and to fine and imprison those doing so! Just because this unjust law is legal does not mean it is moral!
The Holy Spirit told me to post what Jesus said about such matters.
Jesus said –
Matthew 25:34-46 CEB
“Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who will receive good things from my Father. Inherit the kingdom that was prepared for you before the world began. [35] I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me. [36] I was naked and you gave me clothes to wear. I was sick and you took care of me. I was in prison and you visited me.’ [37] “Then those who are righteous will reply to him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink? [38] When did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, or naked and give you clothes to wear? [39] When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ [40] “Then the king will reply to them, ‘I assure you that when you have done it for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you have done it for me.’ [41] “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Get away from me, you who will receive terrible things. Go into the unending fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels. [42] I was hungry and you didn’t give me food to eat. I was thirsty and you didn’t give me anything to drink. [43] I was a stranger and you didn’t welcome me. I was naked and you didn’t give me clothes to wear. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’ [44] “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and didn’t do anything to help you?’ [45] Then he will answer, ‘I assure you that when you haven’t done it for one of the least of these, you haven’t done it for me.’ [46] And they will go away into eternal punishment. But the righteous ones will go into eternal life.”
I asked the Holy Spirit if He had anything additional to say, since He directed me to make this scripture center stage.
Children, I AM ever mindful of your heart intentions. So many excuse their lack of action by saying they are too busy. They say things like, “they will just use the money for drugs or alcohol”, “they will loose it or trade it for drugs or alcohol” {as I heard one local volunteer tell a group of us not to give them coats or blankets during very cold weather }, “it is a waste of money they won’t stop using”, “they like being homeless (they don’t have to be responsible for going to a job or paying bills)”.
Children, do you think those lies fool me?
Do you really believe that it is your right to conclude how they will spend the few dollars you could pass them?
Have I not given you everything you have?
Perhaps, the belief that some enjoy “camping out” is true for a few, but in real numbers isn’t that one in a hundred thousand? So, you are now judge and jury on how they live their lives? And you withhold from them because they choose to spend those few dollars differently than you would have? If their nutrition is now your concern, why not buy them healthy food and give it to them? How is it that you know “their story” and you don’t approve? Some have escaped horrors such as psychological, emotional, physical and sexual abuse. Some work in “gentlemen’s club” to feed their children. How do you know that you would not make the same choices, if it were you in their circumstances?
I tell you now, that the measure you use to judge others is the same measure I will use for you! Matthew 7:1-5
Rethink your attitude. Pause now and consider how you treat others. Do you give yourself a “pass” for those things you criticize others? Titus 3:2, Matthew 5:7
I hate hypocrites! I would rather you be honest about your stingyness than continue to esteem yourself with great aplomb than to grumble when you give a fiver to a stranger then congratulate yourself for being generous. Did I not say, I love a cheerful giver? Matthew 6:2, Matthew 23:27-28
Today, this day, is the opportunity to change. You already missed yesterday’s chance. Tomorrow is not promised to you. Proverbs 27:1
Speak out for those who have no voice. One of the biggest problems facing the homeless is getting aid when they have no physical means of contact, especially without a home to get mail or a phone to speak with a government worker. How would you feel, if you had to tell someone your address is behind the dumpster at Red Lobster?
Pray! Pray for justice, mercy and compassion for these least among you. Humble yourself as My Son did for My Children. Work with the volunteer groups, who regularly pass out food, clothing and resources to those in need. Tell your government representatives to provide more affordable housing (to prevent homelessness before people fall through the cracks) as well as providing more resources to aid the homeless (some do have the skills and ability to get back on their feet).
Are you willing to be My Hands and Feet? Are you willing to be around someone who doesn’t have access to basic hygiene? Can you listen to heartbreaking stories of families at odds with one another or how sickness prevented them from keeping their job? John 13:14, Galatians 6:2
Can you share My Love for them in tangible ways, like food and clothing? How about transportation to a local government assistance office?
My children, it really boils down to love. Can you be the love My Son bore witness to? Can you show mercy to one, who has had little in their life? Can you love them if even if they made a wrong choice or two? Do I not love you when you make a mistake? Are you worth more than they?
As I sit on My throne and watch you world, I see a land who lusts after money and all it buys! This is an indictment upon you, America the beautiful, America will never be great again! For you have made yourself a whore to every appetite! Nothing is off-limits. If you can afford it, you can have it. You are drunken on the wine of the vine of wantonness. There is a price to pay and you are not ready for what lies ahead.
Yes, I did say “the poor will always with you” but I did NOT say that as a way of excuse, I said it because it is the way those in power want to remain in control. By frightening those who do have a “career” to submit to do things they know is wrong in order to keep their job and hence their income. This fear is what will drive many to take the “MARK”. Because you have sought the “easy way”, you will not have the faith to say “NO!” You will not trust Me to sustain you or provide for you. Woe, to you, child, who has trusted in flesh, yours and others to meet your need instead of your Creator. Did I not feed John the Baptist in the wilderness? Did I not feed the 5,000 with more left over than when they collected the food to be blessed?
Rely on Me. Learn of Me. Seek Me for all your needs, not just those you can’t purchase. If I know the number of hairs on your head, do you think I would ignore your needs? Always, seek the “lesson” in each trial. Sometimes, it is a test of your trust in Me! Philippines 4:19, Matthew 3:1-6, Luke 12:7
Beloved, I desire that none would perish but that is the curse Adam and Eve brought. However, more is the desire I have that none would go to hell. The easy way is usually the wide path to hell. Complacency is your enemy. I told you to pick up your cross daily and follow Me! Matthew 16:24
Be the voice of the voiceless! Serve Me by serving others. Do what you would hope someone would do for you. Speak to others like you would like to be spoken to. Do not resent the needy, for it could have been you…
End.
~Handmaid of the Most High~ Acts 2:17-18
Final note, that the Holy Spirit wanted me to include. When the citizens of the U.S. have to mobilize and hide in the woods to avoid being imprisoned/interned for “reeducation” for standing against evil edicts of the those in charge – you will understand the challenges those you disdained in its fullness. Then you will know what it is like to be despised and unwanted and it will chill you to your core.
