War Is Coming

War is coming. A terrible war. A war that will change the world as we currently know it. The Lord has been speaking those words to me for some time now. There is an urgency in the word. An urgency in sounding the alarm for people to repent and turn to Jesus. There is an urgency to call people to listen to Jesus and obey Him. There is great assurance that Jesus is coming soon! We are getting so close to the finish line! In the midst of praying about this warning of war coming, the Lord said to encourage the saints to keep our eyes on who HE is. We must remember Jesus said there would be wars and rumors of wars throughout time and until His return. Jesus also said wars and rumors of wars are not the end. War might end a nation and certainly war ends the life of individuals, but war is not the final word on this age. We know from the Scripture that great trouble will abound in the end times as satan knows his time is short to kill, steal and destroy. But satan, the antichrist and all lawlessness are not in control. Jesus is in control and every event that happens is under the authority of the One worthy to open the scroll. The Gospel will be preached to the end of the earth before the end. Jesus’ return and fulfillment of all He has promised, will be the end of this age. The Lamb who has been slain for our sins and risen from the grave is the one in charge of the end times. That is good news and great encouragement no matter what comes today; earthquakes, famine, pestilence, economic collapse, or war.

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. (Matthew 24:6)
And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14)

“Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.” And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. 8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying,
“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation 5:5-14)

The Lord called me to tell people Jesus is coming soon—be ready. That has been the primary call my entire life. For many decades, everything the Lord has had me speak or do, has been in the context of calling people to this truth. Jesus is coming….a warning to those who are not with Him and encouragement to those who belong to Him.
Now, I tell you, the Lord has pressed upon me that terrible times are coming upon the earth. The vision He gave me long ago will soon unfold. Calamity and devastation. Many have received the same vision, dream and word. Many are sounding the alarm. Wake up! Our King is at the very gates. Suddenly. Suddenly, things will change. No human preparation will stand up to what is coming. Only the preparation Jesus commands and provides will endure.

Yesterday, the Lord said to me, ‘Clap! Do you hear that sound? Just as sharp as the sound of Me clapping My hands, so too shall be the start of devastation. Awake, My people. Do not think I am making a nation great again. I make My own Name great! Do not think I have sent a savior after I sent My Son. You trust in one who comes serving himself instead of trusting in My Son. You eat the words of prosperity and peace spoken by false prophets and you spit out the words of Life spoken by My Son. A cave will not hide you from what is coming. Your gold and silver will not protect you from what is coming. Hide yourself in Me. I am your shield and protector. Many will be caught and dismayed because they did not listen. Awake, My people! Repent and come to Me. Come now. Do you not see My great love for you?’

With this word, the Lord gave me a picture of thorns. Thorns that were on a bush and thorns that were woven together as a crown. The Lord took me to His Scripture to encourage us to look at Jesus. I pray you will be encouraged and strengthened in Jesus as you ponder our great, glorious and soon coming Faithful King!

“After forty years had passed, AN ANGEL APPEARED TO HIM IN THE WILDERNESS OF MOUNT Sinai, IN THE FLAME OF A BURNING THORN BUSH. 31 When Moses saw it, he marveled at the sight; and as he approached to look more closely, there came the voice of the Lord: 32 ‘I AM THE GOD OF YOUR FATHERS, THE GOD OF ABRAHAM AND ISAAC AND JACOB.’ Moses shook with fear and would not venture to look. 33 BUT THE LORD SAID TO HIM, ‘TAKE OFF THE SANDALS FROM YOUR FEET, FOR THE PLACE ON WHICH YOU ARE STANDING IS HOLY GROUND. 34 I HAVE CERTAINLY SEEN THE OPPRESSION OF MY PEOPLE IN EGYPT AND HAVE HEARD THEIR GROANS, AND I HAVE COME DOWN TO RESCUE THEM; COME NOW, AND I WILL SEND YOU TO EGYPT.’ 35 “This Moses whom they disowned, saying, ‘WHO MADE YOU A RULER AND A JUDGE?’ is the one whom God [t]sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush. (Acts 7:30-35)

Pilate then took Jesus and scourged Him. 2 And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and put a purple robe on Him; 3 and they began to come up to Him and say, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and to give Him slaps in the face. 4 Pilate came out again and said to them, “Behold, I am bringing Him out to you so that you may know that I find no guilt in Him.” 5 Jesus then came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, “Behold, the Man!” 6 So when the chief priests and the officers saw Him, they cried out saying, “Crucify, crucify!” Pilate said to them, “Take Him yourselves and crucify Him, for I find no guilt in Him.” 7 The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and by that law He ought to die because He made Himself out to be the Son of God.” (John 19:1-7)

21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” 25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.” 26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.” (John 4:21-26)

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, 2 who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— 6 and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7 BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:1-8)

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
