This morning I was interceding on behalf of Canada and praying over Parliament Hill. During this time, I saw myself there in the air in my armour with hosts of heaven that had encircled the parliament building. I saw a huge principality flying around but knew I could not engage it. (I believe there is more than one principality there) Herodius and Jezebel both oppose Spiritual authority of God and I believe they could be the main principalities ruling Parliament Hill. Herod/Herodius is related to the political spirit and the spirit of religion. Jezebel is also related to the spirit of religion and control. I would suggest that you pray the opposite that they represent. But before you do we need to understand the authority we have. Canada was created under many principles and one of them is freedom. And it was created under the authority of God (founded on scripture of Ps 72:8- “And God will have dominion from sea to sea…”) This was agreed upon in our constitution. Since we have the authority, and come into agreement with what is originally and legally written in Canada’s constitution, we can pray it back into being. And regarding the praying for the opposite- e.g., for Herodius, it has many under it, but the main one is the political spirit which uses corruption, manipulation and division (but there’s more. I just listed some). So I declare honesty and integrity, sincerity and unity over the Federal Parliament in Ottawa, in Jesus name. Where there is Jezebel, there are also many under it, like the spirit of religion (which Herodius uses as well), deception and control, so I declare truth and freedom in Jesus name. There are others that also stand out like confusion and fear.
If you have a shofar, blow it! I declare that the Almighty God has dominion over the government of Canada and His name will be proclaimed! I call forth righteous leaders to rise up that will lead this nation with integrity, honesty, wisdom, enabling unity and in the fear of the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
I then became quiet and entered my God time or “Just be” time. I was soaking in His Presence bowed before Him. Often I use instrumental praise and worship music to help me focus. (Jason Upton is an example and Bethel has soaking instrumental worship. Youtube) I was shown a garden area full of grass, flowers and rolling hills which was outside a huge walled city in the distance. It looked massive and reminded me of the New Jerusalem. Then Lord Jesus took my hand and I got up and we walked on a path together. A body of water was then before me. Then I heard the Lord say, “Strike the water with the rod and the water will part. The nation will walk through. They will leave Egypt. Pharaoh’s heart has been hardened but he will let the people go.”
I understood this vision was regarding the Believers, the nation of Canada, Trudeau and the government. Jesus reminded me to look up the story surrounding Moses at the crossing of the sea found in Ex 14:1-29.
Interestingly, in v16, Moses didn’t strike the water with his staff. Rather, he obediently raised his staff and stretched out his hand over it and the water parted. But I understand the lessons here, are in the rod, the strike and our obedience. The rod represents our authority in Christ. I believe that the Lord wants His church to understand this authority and use it obediently and confidently. Jesus demonstrated and modeled the power and authority of the kingdom of God for us while He was here on earth. And a lot of Jesus’ ministry was casting out demons. “He (Jesus) replied…I have given you all authority in My name to trample on all snakes, scorpions and serpents and overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” (Luke 10:19) And as the Believers today are to be imitators of Christ, we too are to demonstrate the same through the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit on earth as it is in heaven. This authority is also wrapped in our identity in Christ and walking in child-like faith enabling confidence and boldness in Him.
If we don’t know who we are in Christ, or don’t believe that all Believers have the authority to demonstrate the power of the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven, we will struggle with the rod, and our kingdom work will not be as effective as it could be.
Matt 10:8 is written with the implication that it is a command. Jesus said, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils; feely you have received, freely give.” He didn’t say maybe or if. I believe Jesus implies that it is what we are supposed to do and we are to be obedient in it. (I’m preaching to myself here…)
I think we have been given a strategy in how to intercede for our nations. The Lord said “strike.” the water. The definition of strike in this context as a verb, is to hit forcibly and deliberately ( or give a good wallop as the google dictionary says. Lol!) It’s definitely not a gentle word. I encourage you to use the rod of authority you have been given and strike deliberately-even with precision using strategic crafted prayer (which helps by using the Word of God)- strike the water –which is the enemy-and it will part. “The nation will walk through” and “They will leave Egypt.”(be set free from their captivity) Strike the obstacles that hinder and sabotage. Strike and dismantle the demonic strongholds that keep our nations in captivity. Strike in confidence and obedience then stand firm in Him. “The Lord will fight for you; you only need to be still.” Ex 14:14 He will fight for you. That is His promise.
In Ex 14:4, we read that God had hardened Pharaoh’s heart again and said: “I will harden Pharaoh’s heart and he will pursue them (the Israelites) But I will gain glory for Myself through Pharaoh and all his army and the Egyptians will know that I Am the Lord.” Just as God hardened Pharaoh’s heart, He has hardened Trudeau’s heart. Through Trudeau and his government, God will gain glory for Himself and the nation will know that He is the Lord. It will be God, not man, that will remove Trudeau. (remember: “God removes kings and He raises up kings.” Dan 2:21) It will be God making a way for “the nation to walk through” parted waters to “let the people go” and “…leave Egypt.” And as a warning, we must remember- once we’ve been set free, we must not return to Egypt! Go forward like Joshua and take our promised land.
God’s heart is to remind us that our battle is not against people but that which they have allowed to control them. Eph 6:12: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Aka- the demonic. Please see those that are puppets for the enemy as Jesus sees them. That doesn’t mean there aren’t consequences for their sin. God will deal with them. But He wants none to perish but come to repentance. (2 Peter 2:9) So we should bless them and continue to pray for their salvation and reconciliation in Christ. I pray that earth will not be the only heaven they will ever know.

Matt 16:19 “Jesus said he has given us the keys of the kingdom of heaven; what you bind on earth is bound in heaven and what you loose on earth is loosed in heaven.”
