UNWORTHY VESSELS WILL BE EXALTED – Jacob’s First Love

July 09, 2018

2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Is not part of the healing of a land the exposing of evil and every wicked way, including false prophecy? It has been my intense prayer that God would expose in me and everyone who calls themselves by the name of Jehovah God, anything that is not of Him. Following will be a record of this prayer discourse between me and God, and may the Lord have mercy to reveal His truth to His people.

My Plea with the LORD:

Lord, I am unworthy. I am a weak and desperately needy vessel. How intensely are the weapons of war being drawn up against your people, Lord! How impossible it is for us, your soldiers to discern the ever-cunning nature of those spies that have infiltrated our ranks in greater and greater number, dividing us, weakening us, picking us off one at a time—especially those of us straggling behind through poor doctrine, weak prayer, and naivety. For many of us, you have shaken us to the core. We feel completely off balance—blasted from the foundation we thought was truth but which was, in so many cases, man-made religion and tradition. Surely our Enemy has taken advantage of this insecurity. Lord, you know that I feel so insecure in my own mind. I see how many interpretations there are to your Word and how many denominations of men have taken stands of certainty—touting their seminary-educated scholars—over matters of doctrine that result in fights and quarrels among churches within your universal church. Lord, even those who claim to have forsaken the scholarly and poured over the Scriptures in their own closets have created sects that contradict your Gospel. So what hope have we, gracious God? You have spoken and promised that if we who are called by your Name will humble ourselves and pray…then you will heal us. Abba, this is all that I can do. I feel so deeply my great neediness as I stand as a mere maggot before the glory of your eternal throne of power and knowledge. I forsake myself, my sense of wisdom, my sense of understand, and any notion that I am anything at all apart from the glorious covering of my Savior Jesus Christ. I bathe in His blood. I plead His gracious cleansing. I ask this for every one of your people. We are nothing; you are all-glorious. We are needy debtors; you have by grace adopted us as sons! We are covered with the filth of original sin and personal rebellion; you have lifted us from our helpless state and washed us by your blood and the perfect, life-giving water of the Holy Spirit and the Word. We were not a people, but now we are people of God! You have made us a holy priesthood. Lord, for your own name’s sake, for your own glory and honor in this filthy, vomit-covered earth that has repulsed your glory and spat upon the lovely sacrifice of your Son, I plead that you would wash your saints. Oh, that you would take the tongs from your holy altar and purge our sins and take away our guilt—that Lord, we would be sanctified by you and for you, to speak your message, to build your Kingdom, to exalt your honor in this world full of Satan’s dominion. Fill us with power. Mount us up on wings of eagles. Make us strong in a way that those looking upon us would know that it you living in us that sets us apart. Fill us with your light! Glorify us in yourself that we might glorify you! Use us, gracious God, because you have already so mercifully chosen to set apart for yourself a people to be your servants and messengers. Use us, not because of anything in us, but only because of your amazing mercy and grace.

The LORD Says:

My child, I will use you. I will exalt you and all who call upon My Name in truth! I will not give My glory to another–but to the proud I will bring shame, and to the humble I will bring glory! I will indeed make a distinction between the righteous and the wicked—between those who call upon the name of My Son, Yeshua and those who glory in their own power. I AM God, and THERE IS NO OTHER! The world touts a thousand roads to God. They lie! My Son Yeshua bled and died for a world full of sinners! Will I be mocked? Will the sacrifice of My Son be in vain? Would I have sent Him to this earth and poured My heart out when He died if you could come to me through any other means?? Forsake all your wicked ways, My people, and turn to My Son. Humble yourselves! Rend your hearts and not your garments and be utterly destitute of yourselves. Only then will I fill you; only then will I purge you. I will not give My glory to another!

Poem by Philip P. Bliss, 1875

Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
Full atonement! can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die;
It is finished! was His cry;
Now in Heav’n exalted high.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious king,
All His ransomed home to bring,
Then anew His song we’ll sing:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
