The enemy is furious and rages all around us. He knows who we are and what is written of us in the word of God. He doesn’t just make war like this with anyone, but with those who are of the greatest threat to his kingdom. He comes to war and attack us day and night. We are not immune to his battle plans, but the Lord gives us his knowledge and authority to trample them under our feet. As warriors we face fierce battles and tribulation to move forward into our calling. We will not be defeated, just as Jesus was not defeated by satan in the wilderness. He is victorious and so shall we be! Satan made war, tempted, and tested Jesus. He used his flaming sword of truth out of his mouth to defeat the enemy and we must do the same. He showed us how to be victorious in his word (Mark 3)
What I know of Satan’s lies and plan:
He is the enemy of your mind,
whispering thoughts NOT your own. (Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ)
He will do everything to keep you from the word and prayer your shield of faith and sword (word).
He will use your own husband, children, family and friends against you.
He will try to stop you any way he can from fulfilling your call.
He will try to steal your identity, and lie to you that you are not who the Lord says you are, and try to keep you from knowing who you are in Christ.
He will try to destroy your marriage.
He will tempt you with sexuality, worldly pleasures, or anything he believes will get you to act on his seeds of deceit.
He will try to destroy your family and children.
He will try to overwhelm you, discourage you, and distract you from being obedient to The Lord and what he has asked of you.
He will try to keep you in a place of oppression, depression, slave to fear, and deceived that he has some kind of authority over you, He will try to steal, kill, and destroy you!
We cannot be snatch from the fathers hand, we are overcomers, we are sons of God, mighty warriors in his armor of the truth and light, no weapon formed against us will prosper, no demon, snake or dragon will stop us, we are victorious!
We are in training! I heard the Lord say to me, “count it all joy breatheren when you meet trails of various kinds for the testing of your faith creates steadfastness, perfect and lacking in nothing.”
(“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:2-6)
THIS IS WAR!
Would you go into battle without training, your shield of faith, your flaming sword of truth, drinking of the living waters?
Will you lie parched on the battle field because you are thirsty not because you are defeated? (I certainly have.)
These are our weapons of destruction to defeat the enemy.
Satan is defeated by the truth, Jesus, the living word of God and we know his end.
We need to hear the truth more than the lies of the enemy to stand!
The world and the enemy is raging around us all day and night with lies.
The truth is found in the presence of The Lord and in his word, where we hear and know his truth, and where we feed on the bread of life and drink of the living waters.
In the presence of the Lord he tells us who we are in him, and the authority we have in him, so we can boldly run into battling those snakes and say, “get behind me satan!”
(“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,” Ephesians 6:10-18)
