Think before speaking words have power

God said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge…”, Hosea 4:6a. Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”, Matthew 7:15. This was only one of many warnings Jesus gave to His followers to prepare them for the days when He was not visibly with them. The Words of God still apply because He is the ONLY living GOD.

There is a lie being taught from pulpits that is spreading like a wildfire. That fire must be extinguished.

The enemy, lucifer, satan, or whatever other name he is called, is NOT the god of this world. There is only one GOD as these fourteen verses (James 2:19; 1 Timothy 2:5; Deuteronomy 4:35, 6:4, 32:39; 2 Samuel 7:22; 1 Chronicles 17:20; Psalm 86:10; Isaiah 43:10; 44:6, 45:18; Mark 12:29-30; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Ephesians 4:6) from the Holy Word document. 2 Corinthians 4:4, like many other scriptures, has been taken out of context, abused, and taught falsely with extremely dangerous consequences. Before Jesus ascended into heaven He gave the great commission to His followers, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” The lie that there is another god of this world is being proclaimed from pulpits, the church leaders, and from the mouths of those claiming the name of Jesus. Do you believe what the scriptures record? If so, have you questioned why the world is in its current state? This lie is the reason. Let me explain.

The enemy must go before God & Jesus to request permission to tempt God’s faithful. Why? Because they don’t belong to the enemy, they belong to God. Remember that the only way the enemy could touch Job was because he was given LIMITED permission from God. One limitation was that the enemy could not touch Job’s person. The enemy also requested to tempt Peter. You don’t hear this taught often do you? Remember the Passover meal with Jesus and His apostles? At the table Jesus tells Peter that “satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.” There was no need for the enemy to request permission to test Judas, because Judas had given his allegiance to the enemy already. That’s why Jesus called Judas the “son of perdition” in His garden prayer to God before the crucifixion. Judas never gave Jesus the seat of power in his life. He went through the outward, whitewashed, motions of being a follower, but his heart served another master. The power of free will for Judas to choose his master was given away to the enemy who rewards us with bondage.

Free will is the power to choose and it is ours when we enter this world at birth. It is essentially our birthright. Remember, because of the fall, mankind gained the knowledge of good and evil. Scripture tells us that before we are born again we walk “according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air.” This prince is the enemy and the only power he has is the power over the air. When you speak, those words go into the air and you grant permission to that prince. We must be born again because we exercise our free will to choose our Master. When we choose Jesus we gain a new life of freedom in Christ. This second birth or new life, only comes at our request. This is the power we exercise.

Why do you think God warned us about the use of our tongues? He tells us “the wise hold their tongues” because they have requested a guard over their mouth. They understand that what comes out of the mouth is what defiles a person and does have consequences in our lives. The tongue has the power of life and death, both in the natural and spiritual realms. In the simplest of terms, your tongue determines who you give power to. The more you proclaim that the prince of the power of the air is the god of this world, the more power he gains.

When satan tempted Jesus, the enemy could only offer Jesus a moment of time. A moment where, by his own admission, the power had been granted to him. I believe that moment was the time at the end of the age when the enemy causes all to take his mark. The mark that controls their thinking and their actions.  Did you ever stop to question how the enemy had gained that much power?

Don’t blame GOD when you are the one giving away your power. You may not have been aware of what you were doing, but now that you are, take back that power. Have eyes to see and ears to hear so that you can awaken from your slumber and stop believing this strong delusion. We are all familiar with this scripture, “Let no man deceive you by any means.” If you do then you are also aware it is speaking of the coming of Jesus Christ, ‘our blessed hope’ as many teach. Please read these verses carefully.  2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 – Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

When you proclaim, say, tell, speak at all the lie that satan is the god of this world then are giving him the power to exalt himself above all that is called god. Stop spreading the lie. Some scriptures that clearly defines the ONE and ONLY GOD were provided in here multiple times (James 2:19; 1 Timothy 2:5; Deuteronomy 4:35, 6:4, 32:39; 2 Samuel 7:22; 1 Chronicles 17:20; Psalm 86:10; Isaiah 43:10; 44:6, 45:18; Mark 12:29-30; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Ephesians 4:6). Start proclaiming the truth if you want to reverse the ground the enemy has gained.

if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” This verse has conditions that must be met:

  1. Humble yourself

  2. Pray

  3. Seek the one true God

  4. Turn away from evil

THEN and only when the conditions are met will…

Your tongue is the tool that allows you to love life and see good days but it can also lift up or tear down another person. Use your tongue to build the Kingdom of God, the one and only God of this world and also the heavens. Remember, we overcome the enemy by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony. That is very important because 1 John 5:7-8 tells us, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” The Holy Spirit must dwell inside of you because He is the only witness for both the natural and the spiritual realms. Turn away from evil, proclaim the Words of truth, that Jesus Christ is THE GOD of this world. Jesus Christ used His free will to die for your sins and mine. He paid for your freedom and won the victory over the enemy. Are you going to choose the prince of the power of the air that uses fear to keep you in bondage? Or will you choose the freedom Christ purchased for you? Eternity is reality, not a game. Stop gaining lives for the enemy.

Use your tongue to proclaim the truth. Let the Word of your testimony be powerful and bold. Proclaim the true God of this world – Jesus Christ. Know your authority in Christ & proclaim it. Speak/read the Words of God aloud from the scriptures. Here are a few to get you started.

Luke 10:19: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

2 Thessalonians 3:3: “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.”.

Romans 8:38-39: “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
