The Word of the Lord to Israel

“Let My people give their only son for their sin, says the Lord.”
It is with inexpressible sorrow that this word came to me, a sorrow that is like drunkenness and robs me of my time. It lasted for over half the day, as usual!
“O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.”
Jeremiah 6:26 KJV
Why does the Lord YHWH afflict me with so many days of heaviness and heartbreak on behalf of His people and their tragedies that are coming? Would I choose to make myself into a harbinger of negative predictions to my own ruin? Decide for yourselves! As for me I will live in repentance and pursue the Lord always without expecting anything in return.
