The safe place for the children of Egypt was the wilderness ( supernatural provisions)
The safe place for Jacob was Goshen ( provision in time of famine)
Genesis 45:10 You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you will be near to me, you, your children, your children’s children, your flocks, your herds, and all that you have.
Genesis 46:28 He sent Judah before him to Joseph, to show the way before him to Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen.
Genesis 46:29 Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel, his father, in Goshen. He presented himself to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
The safe place for Abraham was Canaan
12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth

Genesis 19:19 But Lot said to them, “No, my lords, please! 19 Your servant has found favor in youreyes, and you have shown great kindness to me in sparing my life. But I can’t flee to the mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I’ll die. 20 Look, here is a town near enough to run to, and it is small. Let me flee to it—it is very small, isn’t it?
