The Radiance of God’s Glory
Alas! and did my Savior bleed
And did my Sov’reign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For such a worm as I?
Was it for crimes that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!
Well might the sun in darkness hide
And shut his glories in,
When Christ, the mighty Maker died,
For man the creature’s sin.
Thus might I hide my blushing face
While His dear cross appears,
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness,
And melt my eyes to tears.
But drops of grief can ne’er repay
The debt of love I owe:
Here, Lord, I give myself away,
’Tis all that I can do.
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now, I am happy all the day!
“The son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven” (Hebrews 1:3).
In this hour of trial, take heart, for I have overcome the world!
All the demonic forces are at work now in their final assault on the Kingdom of Christ and of God.
Nothing is as it seems.
Be wide awake and alert, for your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8-11). Resist him! Stand firm in the faith which you received from the beginning. Let nothing move you. Focus on the cross–the great sacrifice of my Son to destroy sin. Hope in His resurrection, where the bars of death were broken! Will He not bring all those who hope in Him from their graves? And oh so soon!
I am bringing a great collusion upon this world.
Psalm 2:1-3: “Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,
‘Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.'”
The eyes of those who serve the devil are deceived by the cover-up that seeks to deny who I am and what I am doing in the world. Very soon, though, it will be made evident.
However, even though the truth will be in men’s faces, many will still deny what has been made plain to them.
Pray for those who have rejected me and my Word, pray that they might seek me and find me, if they will seek me with all their heart.
I asked the Lord if there were specific sins God wanted to point out to His people. A bed scene flashed in my mind and I heard:
Not reading or obeying my Word
Not praying, not seeking my face for direction
Lack of self-control
Having a form of godliness but denying its power
Indeed, you must be more righteous than the Pharisees to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Are you whitewashed tombs?
Matthew 15:7-11: “You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said:
‘This people honors me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;
in vain do they worship me,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
“And he called the people to him and said to them, ‘Hear and understand: it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.’”
Jeremiah 29:13: “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
Ezekiel 36:25-27: “I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.”
