The People of Wotan Will Go to War

Though most of the messages I receive from the Holy Spirit concern America, occasionally I receive visions and words for those in other nations and regions across the world. This vision is one of them.
In a dream vision, the Holy Spirit took me to northern Europe where an assembly of leaders, made up of both men and women, busily gathered together. I could not hear their language, and they could not see me (I was invisible). I looked at the people’s features to try to discern where I was. Many of the people had blond hair, and Nordic or Scandinavian features. Some of the people’s noses were upturned and smaller in shape. I wondered if I was in Finland, but could not be sure. I asked the Holy Spirit who these people were, and He gave me an unexpected and unusual answer. “These are the people of Wotan,” He said. I wasn’t sure what He meant as that expression was new to me. Then I asked Him why He brought me there to show me these people. “The people of Wotan will be at war before long,” He said. “Warn them.”
When I awoke from the dream vision, I looked up the word “Wotan” to discover it is one of the names for Odin, the supreme god of the Germanic pantheon, often identified as the god of war. I wondered why the Holy Spirit would use the expression “the people of Wotan” for the modern descendants of the people who once worshipped this god. But then it became clearer to me that the Holy Spirit chose to identify peoples by their ancestral gods, not simply by their current nations and geographical boundaries. He was speaking of the northern Germanic peoples, today in distinct nations of Scandinavia, who once worshipped the god Odin. Though many of these peoples have been overtly Christian for centuries, more recently their secular culture has diluted their faith and allowed for pre-Christian influences to resurge.
Please pray for the protection and the salvation of the souls of the northern Germanic peoples whose ancestors, more popularly known as the Vikings, practiced Norse paganism. With each passing day—as their region stands at the threshold of war—may more and more of the descendants of the people of Wotan come to pledge their allegiance to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and become grafted in to the family of God the Father. Amen.
