The Ocean That Boiled

In a dream vision I traveled in the spirit to a coastal American city (unknown to me) with a university campus. This city was not on the coastline, but just inland of it. The city was not a megacity, but large enough with tall buildings and towers. The sun shone above, and the day appeared to be an ordinary day with students attending classes and cars passing by.
Then suddenly, water mysteriously appeared on the streets and sidewalks, at first a foot or so deep, and then two feet and rising like a fast-moving incoming tide. Anyone leaving one building to get to another would have to wade through the water, which was what I was doing. The water was cool, but not cold enough to cause hypothermia.
With fear, I wondered if a tsunami was coming in from the ocean, but I didn’t see a giant wave. I looked eastward in the direction of the ocean, and instead I saw thick steam clouds rising in the distance. Very soon the water I waded through became warm. Hot water was flowing in from the ocean!
It flashed through my mind that only underwater volcanism, a submarine nuclear reaction, or a meteor landing in the ocean could heat so much water so quickly.
Realizing I could have only minutes left to live, I chose to use those precious minutes to bring others to Christ before we all perished. I waded through the quickly heating water to try to connect with others—all of us searching for dry and higher ground. I asked repeatedly of the few people I came within speaking distance, “Do you know Jesus?” One middle-aged Chinese woman, perhaps a visiting scholar at the city’s university, told me, “I was raised an atheist. But I’ve heard about Jesus.” It was clear to me that she had not yet received the good news of the Gospel. I prayed that God would give me enough time to witness to her.
Ultimately, the end of my life came down to this very act of witnessing and sharing the Gospel to save souls. Lord, let me live long enough to reach just one more soul for your kingdom. Help me to bring just one more soul to you.
The dream vision ended and I awoke.
He makes the deep boil like a pot;
Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will bring up many nations against you, as the sea brings up its waves. They shall destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers, and I will scrape her soil from her and make her a bare rock. She shall be in the midst of the sea a place for the spreading of nets, for I have spoken, declares the Lord God.
