The New Military Draft

In a dream vision, the Holy Spirit showed me two middle-aged American women discussing the precarious situation of their sons. Both young men had recently graduated from high school and were pursuing some form of higher education. Because of a new military conscription, their sons would be drafted.

The women wondered aloud which branch of the armed forces their sons would serve in. Did their sons have any choice in determining the branch they joined, or would the choice be made for them? The women also wondered if their sons’ education level would be a factor determining their placement and type of service.

This dream vision was short, only seconds in duration. But in merely a few moments, the Holy Spirit impressed on me that America would go to war, and that the lives and futures of the nation’s young men would change overnight and no longer be theirs to control.

Parents of America, pray for the repentance and salvation of your sons and daughters. So many of their dreams—and many even their lives—will be cut short by the realities of war. Pray for their protection in both physical and spiritual conflict. Pray that they draw closer to Jesus and recognize their Master’s voice. Pray that they use their time in military service to serve God among their fellow soldiers and yes, even among their enemies.

Remember that though warring governments appear to be in control, it is God Himself who controls all. His wondrous love works through all to bring us to Him through His Son. Remember that God’s plans for us and our children may be different than those we plan ourselves. God’s plans are for His Glory, and following His will for us glorifies us and edifies our souls.
