The Media Is Unclean

Dream from March 9th
I had a particular dream about a month ago.
In the dream I was sent a letter. The letter was from a major producer of many different shows, music and even many video games. Many of the shows I was a big fan of in the past. The letter was sort of an invitation to come and meet this producer. I was curious and decided that I would be attending the event.
On the day of the event, I left in my vehicle and tried to navigate my way to the address of the event. When I showed up at the building, I was sort of underwhelmed as the building was just an average building. It sort of resembled a typical office space. I proceeded in. When I went in I could not find anyone. I wondered where everyone was. It was like I made a mistake on the address. I kept looking but then gave up. I wandered into the women’s bathroom as I decided it would be a good place for me to think for moment. As soon as I headed to a stall, there he was, the ‘producer’ and ‘creator’ of much many popular media enjoyed today. He was sitting in a bathroom stall with a computer in his lap. He waved to me and smiled. Almost confirming to me that I was in the right place. He had long vibrant orange/red hair pulled into a high pony tail. He eyes were as bright and orange as his hair, almost glowing. I asked him who he was, and he told me his name. It was the same name that was on the invitation. I was bewildered and confused and despite the rather strange setting, he was as calm as a cucumber. It was like he was in his element. He invited me to come closer and gave me a strange request. He asked for a used menstrual pad. Now I was really confused and quite disgusted. As strange as it was, I happened to be menstruating that day. I felt compelled to hand him the pad. After this I felt a sudden wave of feeling dirty, filthy and was in disbelief that I honored such a request. It decided that I needed to leave the bathroom immediately and excused myself. The dream ended.
After spending some time in prayer, I believe the dream was of spiritual origins. I believe the ‘producer’ or ‘creator’ that I was invited to meet was not an actual person but a spirit. I believe that it is a spirit that embodies and inspires the media today. Despite how pleasing and entertaining the the shows we watch or music we listen to might seem, like this spirit, at it’s roots it is filthy, revolting, offensive and unclean. I think this is a message sent to me to tell others that the truth about the things that we watch, listen to or engage in. The truth is that much of the media that people engage in, no matter how fun, is unclean and most likely produced by these very spirits. It is unclean to those that seeking to live a righteous life and looking to please God. Those that watch television, listen to secular music or play video games need to truly evaluate the spiritual nature of their entertainment. Ultimately the question is this. Are the things we engage on a daily basis bringing us closer to God or pulling us away.
2 Corinthians 6:17
Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”
